Navy Bae Refuses To Stand For National Anthem While In Uniform....Will She Get That Work?

Someone in another thread asked if Black people will ever overcome white oppression and Im starting to think the answer is no.

For the life of me I don't understand why Black people criticize people's personal activism against racism. Since young King Trayvon's unjust murder and its handling, many acts of activism have taken place and I make a point to participate, support, or shut-up.

I wore hoodies, I marched with my hands up, I organized in Chicago, I boycotted Black Friday, I purchased t-shirts, I put $ on an inmate's books, I prayed, I stayed silent when 2 Black men killed officers. I didn't have to believe in the impact (Black Friday) or agree with the method (Micah and Gavin) but I understand this is a real fight and my side is losing so I'm not going against my side.

If you have real knowledge of how she may be financially impacted, why not organize and help? Our men are losing their lives and y'all calling her names because she was willing to lose her coins. This is pathetic.

If her supervisor was looking out for her they'd just give her some counseling on some double jeopardy shyt. I would have more respect for her if she wasn't crying for help to keep her benefits and stuff. If she was like fukk your consequences it's a different story. I was in the military for 17 months and it's totally different world than the civilian world. When you enlist/get commissioned you're owned by the government. Doesn't matter if you're as black as the midnight sky or white as snow, if you're a Christian, Jew, Muslim, atheists, etc.

If she gets a Bad Conduct Discharge or a Dishonorable Discharge life will be extremely hard for. Having a Dishonorable Discharge is just as bad or even worse than having a felony record.

I hope no harm comes to her and will definitely donate for a go fund me but we have to think long-term and not get caught up in short term emotions.

Oh believe you me I retired 2 years ago and my wife is still active duty. In the Air Force its like the hunger games to get the highest rating on the EPR (Enlisted Performance Report for those not in the know). All this competitive trying to be like corporate America is going to have people getting the fukk on under their own volition. shyt was fun when I joined but as time went on shyt got toxic as shyt and I had to get the fukk on .

She isn't a damn activist... She isn't some martyr

Like many have said, she would've done better for black people if she had got out, used her education and benefits to become a productive black person, and supported the community. People act like she couldn't protest outside of uniform. No matter what color you are, protesting in uniform is against the code.

She sat down because it was the cool thing to do, not because she cared about black people being mistreated in my opinion. Or else she would've accepted the consequences like Kaepernick and other real activists do.

They could try though. I doubt she had any real record considering she had a TS clearance but like some have been saying, Navy downsizing and this went viral. They can make an example out of her.

But if they don't kick her out, she will lose her clearance and probably be reduced to pulling up weeds and picking up trash for the rest of her navy career abd they probably won't let her re-enlist or switch rates.

If i was her i would be more concerned about the clearance situation. If they allow her to keep it and she gets an Other Than Honorable discharge she would be fine.


But she's an analyst.. To get out without her clearance would make a career transition useless.
