Running into ships because their Chief got petty out of nowhere and told them if that fan room wasn't painted by 1000 even though the Fire Marshal didn't get the cold work chits back out approved till 0800, that they would have to work on it at 2330 when he gets off watch, but 3 of those sailors have watch at 0130 because they're 6 on and 6 off :mjlol: :russ:

If I somehow didn't adapt to getting no sleep, I'm pretty sure I'd be out of the Navy for falling asleep on watch. :russ:

Up for 40 fukking hours on more than one occasion :camby:
Is that the real reason they were tired and crash the ship?:ohhh:

Eh. Can't blame her tbh. That entire command sounds toxic af. Some of these new sailors with no real support system in place be vulnerable as fukk in those type of environments.

Wonder if she shared any of this with her in-law Chief. :jbhmm:

Eh, like I told @O.T.I.S. , I wish I had chose the Air Force. I'm an LS that's 4 years deep so far, and while the work is easy, being attached to a ship is fresh out of work asscheeks.

Not only do you have to do your actual job, but you have to keep up-to-date on qualifications like damage control, worry about ship politics, silently lament the fact that Chiefs are...some-fukking-how a totally different thing from the rest of the enlisted and will fukk you up accordingly (them nikkas are usually on some other shyt in DRBs. It usually devolves into a roast session where the Chiefs try to one-up each other in regards to making you feel like an absolute clown while providing zero constructive criticism,) and just the fact that the ship is a big ass death trap.

Steep ass ladder wells, perpetual forklift ops with dumbass safeties that have constant attention lapses, fires, general crew fukkery, having to carry heavy ass $50,000+ parts down four decks into hot ass spaces, etc.

Like @Doctor Doom said, the Commanding Officer can make or break a ship because he/she has complete control over the happenings aboard. The CO of the BHR had them nikkas paint the ship so that it would look good while being towed to be scrapped...after the fire had burnt that shyt to a crisp. That's a military issue, but it's arguably at it's worse on ships that are underway.

I did too

VA has counseling groups. Tell your doctor to refer you and just talk in a group setting. It’s over the computer too. I just finished one and it was great. Might continue going
