I've never joined in on shading Ramona Shelburne for her looks and wont ever, but she is mumbling through this report and I'm really trying to figure out what value she's adding to ESPNs NBA production

Hopefully BI is straight.

Lonzo will make some of those , needs to be more assertive earlier on.

Glad Brice Johnson showing out, dude can be A solid back up big.

It's still summer league though. There was nothing about this that merited pressure. If Lonzo goes out next game and has a triple double, THAT won't mean anything either. It's just one game that doesn't really count for anything.

He's a touted star....he allowed his pops to do it.....some stars when it's time to shine they do it off top....that's the level many expecting from lonzo....if he had of scored 10 that would've been meh but acceptable.....but 5 is basically a failing debut...still a tremendous amount of time obviously....but all the attention begs results......is what it is......but imo, he'll be fine

too many outliers for me to agree with this

The correlation adjusts for the outliers in its calculation. The majority of variance--about 55% of how a player performs after Summer League--cannot be determined from Summer League numbers alone, but 45% is gleaned from Summer League numbers. If Summer League didn't matter the NBA insider would have found a correlation of 0.00 to 0.10, meaning that Summer League couldn't predict anything at all. It makes intuitive: players who dominate against lower level NBA talent tend to dominate against better NBA talent. Players who fail against lower level NBA talent tend to fail against lower level NBA talent.

DRose and Dwight Howard were trash their first summer league game too. :yeshrug:

However, I think year 1 Lonzo is going to have issues scoring in the league (he should be good elsewhere tho). Russell would have been a good guy to take the load off him @I AM WARHOL
