Prior to the that, NBA League Pass was making a killing on Summer League packages centered around top picks in big markets. At the same time, NBA TV's coverage of summer leagues (and even summer league practices
) was a significant bump in their offseason ratings. Before the Lakers had their own TV deal, their young guys were regularly premier draws. Even Bynum mentions did numbers.Yes, the Lakers have their own channel and TV deal btw
