Ball scored like 9 points. About how many scoring highlights do you think he had? The criticisms of Lonzo coming out of UCLA are that 1), his shot wouldn't translate to the NBA (so far confirmed); 2) he doesn't drive because he lacks ability to finish (so far confirmed); 3) his defense is overrated and UCLA hides him (his D has been OK not great); 4) he lacks the quickness, handles and speed to take guys off the dribble and drive (so far confirmed as far as taking guys off the dribble, sort of confirmed about the drive).
nikka you don't even know how many points he scored:mjlol:

Just stop

And despite all the bullshyt youre trying to confirm after 1 SL game you actually watched, especially while he is banged up, he also broke college records, led NCAA is assists, had his team be the highest scoring team in college, brought a winning atmosphere, and was drafted top 2 with a high possibility of going 1 if it wasn't for that last game he lost (which most clowns decided to judge his entire year after that game).

11 points, more than 9 points in the Summer League. :russ:
exactly fool

Its summer league :mjlol:

He shot 40% this game despite the shots he missed and made Kuzma look like Carmelo

FOH:mjlol:

He also had the highest offensive rating than anyone on the floor for LA and even higher than Tatum

What part of "makes players better" did you not understand when he was getting draftes

There's no evidence Lonzo is any better shooting than he has proved so far. It will be 5 games and no shot.

How about we see his shooting over 3 years :yeshrug: thats usually when you see what a player will be. For example its year two and we can see that jaylon brown still cant beat people off the dribble :picard:

Summer League has a .46 correlation with regular game performance. That's almost as high as the the correlation between a players' college performance and NBA performance. So Lonzo's shooting over his SL tenure is probably what his shooting is over the next year or so at least. If Lonzo can't shoot against D-League talent he can't shoot against NBA talent. It's as simple as that.

So we gonna ignore his college shooting numbers? :yeshrug: he proved that he has range from deep, his problem is shooting on the move. I bet he shoots much higher in catch and shoot situations you have top admit that one :manny:

He's 8-28 and has missed from deep primarily. As such he hasn't proved that he can shoot from deep at all. I'm going to ignore his college shooting numbers until he actually starts hitting consecutive shots like any decent shooter can do. He has a couple more SL games to go. If he continues missing wide open shots from deep, his college shooting numbers probably don't matter.

Nah his shooting will improve with better players around him, Lonzo is not a ball dominant score first guy. He will shoot of others penetration and ball movement, give him a full season on the real team and if his shooting numbers are still trash then we can start that convo :ehh:
