They can solve this nonsense by just making the only cosmetic items like tats, clothes, etc only cost VC like every other game. But the fact they basically force you to buy VC for attribute upgrades AKA pay to win is fukking pathetic. And like I said before no one calls them out like they do in the COD community. nikkas happily plunk 40 bucks to immediately make their 6'9 player have handles like Kyrie and the shooting of steph. Don't get me started on the debacle that is my team, another money grab. That's why I will check out live and see what's good with that

You can earn it in game. But right now im having problems with playing mycareer/myleague games and earning no vc. Thats a legit problem we dealing with. This my favorite game already got 50 hrs+

That's my point :snoop:

The fact that you can earn this stuff in game is the first defense for all this bullshyt, which obviously overlooks the fact that it's much, much harder to earn stuff in game than it is to just buy it outright. The op pretty much makes my point for me, he bought 2 separate $150 copies of the game cause he knows grinding to get all that vc in game would take forever. They purposely make it harder to earn all this stuff in game to entice you to buy their micro-transactions. No different than the lootbox garbage

It's definitely a money grab... But I don't get it. I mean I play a lot of 2k but why y'all spend so much money on your my player? It's built to be a slow grind so you will keep playing the game for months. At the end of 2k17 I had 90k in VC that was damn near useless and that happens every year...

People spend $40-$100 on VC on their my player before they've even played games to decide if it's worth it. My Career is lame this year, between the walking around the Neighborhood shyt to all them long azz cutscenes that shyts a joke

Ok. But i like playing this game. You can buy your way to 85 and rank up. One week into the game im at 70. Level 99 is not for casuals, thats what people are complaining about

I only like playing against my friends locally. In that sense I have never felt like the game got old. But

I dont like how people play online so I havent played that way in ages... Im scarred for life from playing 2k2 online on dreamcast (pioneering online play :flabbynsick:)....fadaway threes in the corner with every player on the Kings including Vlade :francis:

I never wanted to deal with internet basketball players ever again.

So like I was saying if Im alone I would do franchise mode and once they added my player it was cool. There are people like me out there :ld:

Microtransactions work very well when the things for sale are cosmetics. In fact, if you're a game developer that wants microtransactions but doesn't want pay to win, that's the exact route you go. I'd much rather pay for older jerseys and shyt for a team than to buy VC to make your player play decently.
