Wish we could do it like fantasy football where you would lose a draft pick or something for making players keeper's
You can. When talking about keepers type of draft type forgot the name of the setting there is draft pick or back of draft. If you should draft pick it essentially ranks all the players in the league. If the player you keep is 1-30 you don't get a 1st round pick. 31-60 2nd round pick etc. Also if you keep 2 top 30 players then you give up picks 1 and 2.

Yeah, that option is trash

If you have a bad record and you wanna drop a rookie then you have to release your best player. That makes no sense

The traditional "bottom of the draft" is more normal

We should do something like that , it makes it much more worthwhile and penalizes you for hoarding players. Makes the league much more interesting beyond seasons

No it doesn't

Your team can't improve because if you win the lottery and get the first pick in the draft you can't pick a rookie unless you release your best player

I did test runs with both ways and this option is terrible

That's a definite con but I also like that it prevents somebody from tanking and stacking their team up by stockpiling top talent.

Nobody here does that

Thats too extreme of a solution to the problem

If someone tanked and they got the first pick we just manually give them the 10th pick. Theres no reason to force teams to choose between taking a rookie and giving up their best player.

Can we do this 3 keepers without losing picks the next 2 , picks are effected what you think?
