Melo couldn't get the Knicks into the Playoffs in a HISTORICALLY weak Eastern Conference. That certainly counted against him. Phoenix overachieved this year and if you put them in the east, they would've been one of the top teams, and of course they were going to use any excuse to put a Cac in so there goes your Love selection...

And not saying the Knicks not making it was all on Melo, but as the captain of the ship sometimes you gotta sink with it.....
