For starters there is no poor man's anything. Those with money and connections have always had advantages. Its funny he says we wont have another Bron...when we literally have another one on the same team as the original
. And why is he there? Because of his pops. Its not rocket science, high level athletes breed high level athletes. Again look at how many doctors have parents that were doctors, how many teachers have parents that were teachers. Getting it out the mud is a thing because it aint common. Once basketball became a ticket to wealth, we saw more second generation hoopers. Before that you had people with the ability that didnt take it serious or player other sports or took other routes in life period because sports wasnt considered a real option. The rise of AAU and trainers are a result of this shift too. Also just the nature of our culture. People pounce when there is a chance to make money.This play the same way stuff is nothing more than "I dont like how the game is played now" which is rich coming from a dude in the team that has been the most influential in how the game is played now. There has always been a level of uniformity in sports. People are gonna copy what works within whatever the rules are. The zone limits creativity and different play styles. Its also been key to the Warriors doing what they did. So again its funny for him to say this.

When you look at it historically at schools with a diverse population: sports have tended to always be more suburban/white, varsity letterman jackets, etc.
Especially for women: it’s usually white girls doing sports and most other groups of HS girls chillin.
