That Grant/Portis trade would have went through had Milwaukee not asked for others assets in the deal.
They did them a favor in not doing so.

He would’ve been perfect for the Mavs in the PJ role. Don’t know if he’s better defensively, but he’s the better rebounder & has a more reliable 3 ball. P.J is showing that he is a winning player that can be a star in his role in the future, whereas Kuz would rather make money to play meaningless basketball.
PJ has been putting in work on the defensive end against KAT, which is something that Kuzma wouldn’t be able to do.
