Should have been nets vs lakers . These games have no story / rivalry behind them .

lakers vs mavericks. Who the fukk wants to see that? Clippers vs mavericks was a great series and would have made much more sense.

It's more about promoting Luka than anything else. It's the better matchup businesswise, present and future.

It's a win-win for Luka. Even if the Lakers win and Luka snaps for 40+, he'll be the talk of the NBA afterwards.
