I have serious doubts that the owners will vote him out. I'm willing to bet they're coming up with a way to make the votes anonymous.

that's another thing: they should make all the votes public, attaching names to votes....that will serve 2 purposes:

1) no one would be able to hide behind anonymity...if you feel he should stay/go, be man enough to stand by your vote

2) even if owners don't want to, they'd be forced to vote it 29-0...cause no one would want to look like they agree with what he said and/or are labeled racist...once that 29-0 comes back, sterling would feel no one had his back, and he would start telling about that culture and on his peers...which is what I want...to me, sterling isn't the prize....he's just the dumbass that cracked the door to let us see in...now I want to use the rest of that old, vile piece of shyt to kick that door down....

does the lleague own the name clippers?

Pretty sure they do

Last year when Charlotte announced that they wanted to be the Hornets again it was mentioned that the NBA owns the name...

And the rest of the owners voted unanimously for Charlotte to use the name again

This is a really interesting plan, basically its a game of chicken. If this works the league could hold the team and deny Sterling the revenue from a sale if they win the court case. It would be a Gigantic risk on Sterlings part and even if the Sterlings were to win in the end I could still see the league dragging this out long enough for Sterling to go and die somewhere in obscurity

:whoa:

If... if...

....this shyt has to be in writing. It has to be somewhere in the NBA's constitution, bylaws, etc., and not an 11th hour addendum. I know niccas are in their feelings right now, but if there isn't legal standing for disenfranchising based on behavior/derogatory comments concerning players, etc., disenfranchising would set a dangerous precedent... not only concerning free speech, but OWNERSHIP RIGHTS. It's already the era of #NewRules just from the initial actions the NBA took against Sterling (which effectually mean nothing, but still...)

Y'all niccas really don't want the NBA to go there...

Because trust, that shyt will be used against you...liberally. Just for the sake of get back. And most of y'all non Coli I.T. Cert niccas won't be able to bounce back like Sterling.

If disenfranchising happens, y'all would think that, "Yeah, we getting these niccas to man up for us!" Nah nicca, they're setting a new precedent to further exploit and unlawfully sieze all types of ownership rights from y'all dumb muhfukkas. Y'all better fall back a lil' bit... all told, this is a class war. And times like these are prime opportunities to enact dummy legislation/law to further oppress and capitalize.

Chill out...

Sterling might end up being y'all's best friend in this shyt... Truth be told, after hearing that nicca Sterling interview, this delusional a$$ nicca ain't even worth the possibility of new case law emerging from an appellate decision that says what I own and essentially, who I am, can be disenfranchised at the whim of a quasi governing institution, which didn't even have clear language in its bylaws to take my shyt.

Y'all niccas better smarten the fukk up, and get over this shyt. Shyt could get ugly.

Norfeast groovin…
I don't see how anyone could not want this to happen. This is the best thing ever, no more clippers, klanling doesn't get a dime, and the Sonics are back, 2014 free agent class becomes a huge story, more focus on the league, it's so much good that comes out of ending the clippers for good. :ahh:

this shyt aint gonna happen and it's nothing but a smoke screen to distract from the fact they still haven't taken the vote yet to out him as owner....I don't wanna hear about any mights, ifs, what abouts, etc....those shyts are nothing but smoke screens to keep prolonging this hoping people will eventually just not care, pay attention to it.....why the hell haven't they voted yet? that's the only question that needs to be getting asked....that vote should've happened before silver's press conference...

Exactly. All this other shyt is just some bullshyt... and potentially dangerous bullshyt.

Do any of you legal scholars know if this is actually possible? I just dont see how this ends anywhere other than in court.
