Dude's averaging 17ppg without any semblance of a jumper or the ability to make FTs on 54%FG, if he gets up to 70-75% on FTs he'd average 20ppg this year already.

He can get buckets without one, and any progress on his jump shot will result in exponential growth to his offensive game. He doesn't ever have to become a good shooter, if he gets to the point to where you have to guard him out there he's a perennial MVP candidate.

He knows taking them right now isn't going to help the team, he's not finna be Josh Smith out here gunnin up 3s when we all just want him going to the rack

He's working on his 3s, he'll take them when he's ready and when he thinks they'll actually contribute to winning games

Playoffs are certainly a different animal, but I think in some ways it will reward Ben too. His ability post up and cut will be very valuable, and he causes so many mismatches on the court. Being able to exploit a mismatch for an entire series is a huge advantage. His ability to play off of Joel will be huge too.
