The real issue is the fact that he missing out on all the awards for the reg season since he not gonna play the min required games:sas2:he already lost a bag for not making all nba this past season

The other goofy shyt like tryna crash out at the mall and punching children over backyard hoopin likely factored in.

You don’t lose your salary when suspended … they take a small percentage and that’s it …

And why are you reading into posts what’s not there …
Ja flashing a “toy” gun :mjlol: didn’t deserve that much time.

I’m simply stating a fact … and the only thing I’m implying is that Silver is much more invested in making money than having the NBA look more perfect than it is in reality.

You damn right. You’re cool with this ignorance being the face of black people??

Dude still losing over a million dollars and a quarter of the season? What would you like to see done, a lifetime ban? Hating ass nikka.

You don't have to be overboard to dap fish

Half a season, 40-42 games would have fit the punishment

I say exactly what I feel and mean. I don’t give a fukk about a dap. For exapmple, I feel like y’all sound like some hating ass nikkas. So I’m posting that I feel like y’all some hating ass nikkas.

He needed a SEVERE punishment to his NBA career to deter him.

What would you have like to see done, 100 years in prison? Hating ass nikka

Wasn’t Stern the one to put all those excessive fines in place … along with the Players Association of course. Two years for drug use for example. Stern wanted the NBA to be global, he couldn’t risk anyone damaging the image.

I think Stern came down hard on drugs due to the reputation the nba had at the time. A league full of drug abusers was a bad look for business. I dont think the image of the nba can be ruined by Ja,since it doesnt seem like a rampant issue of players doing this. Now Zion on the other hand? You mean to tell me he isnt damaging the nbas image more than Ja:mjlol:?

If the suspension is about protecting the nbas image, its laughable. But that seems to be the consensus. Most of these adults upset aint even talking about the kids he could influence.

Sex with pornstars and prostitutes?Arguable, unless we want to pretend context doesnt exist.

Yes a gun has potential to be more inflammatory if you create a scenario in your head that didnt happen. But just comparing what Ja actually did,to what Zion did? What Zion did is a worst look to the image of the nba.

Still waiting on word from Adam Silver, the silence is deafening, but speaks volumes:respect:

If we wanna create potential scenarios. What happens when your players get caught up soliciting/sex trafficking of a minor like LT did? Then you bring oppurtunity for extortion in the mix, things could get ugly. Just an overall nasty look for the NBA,and it ruins the marketability of the nba. Ja playing with guns does none of that honestly.#FauxOutrage

Ja has a responsibility to act within the moral guidelines of the NBA; guns are in the moral clause fukking hoes isn’t there. It’s as simple as that …

If you have a powerful or influential job when you’re out in public you can’t act like everyone else and keep in mind what your company wouldn’t approve of when you’re off the clock.

Moral clauses are usually vague. Gives them flexibility to arbitrarily fire, fine,or suspend you at will. Simply based on a bad look,or public outrage, fake or not. I doubt guns are in their specefically anymore than sex with hookers is.

Here are some common elements that might be included in a morality clause:

  1. Standards of Conduct: The clause may outline the expected standards of behavior, specifying that the celebrity must maintain a certain level of professionalism and adhere to legal and ethical guidelines. It may prohibit the celebrity from engaging in activities that could reflect negatively on the company, such as illegal activities, drug abuse, or public misconduct.
  2. Reputation Protection: The morality clause typically emphasizes the importance of protecting the reputation of the company or brand. It may include provisions that allow the company to terminate the contract if the celebrity’s behavior or actions result in significant damage to their public image or the company’s brand.
  3. Public Relations: The clause might require the celebrity to cooperate with the company’s public relations efforts, such as participating in promotional events or media appearances, to maintain a positive public image and reputation.
  4. Social Media Usage: With the prevalence of social media, morality clauses may also address the celebrity’s behavior on these platforms. It could include restrictions on posting controversial or offensive content, engaging in cyberbullying or harassment, or sharing inappropriate material.

You’re ignoring that the NBA has explicit guidelines against guns based on the past ex. Gilbert Arenas and his ignorance back in-the day.

“The NBA has a strict anti-gun policy; players are required to notify teams if they own a gun, and they are forbidden from possessing guns in various circumstances. Even when a player is holding a gun while away from team or league activities, the NBA can still fine and suspend the player if it deems his conduct “prejudicial or detrimental to the Association”—which resulted in Morant’s March suspension.”
