Across the four nights of play, the NBA finals averaged a 12.2 rating among metered market households. Its an uptick from what the first four games typically pull, though that year hit a substantial peak with its Game 5 conclusion.

Game 3 on Wednesday hit 17.9 million viewers, with the first three games averaging just shy of 18 million viewers. That average may very will diminish when Friday's softer wrap-up is included.

Adam Silver needs to fix this.

KD ruined this league. SMH. Nobody was kneeling for the anthem so y'all can't blame that.

I wouldve been happy if i got to see a healthy celtics vs the dubs or rockets vs the cavs. But this was so fukkin predicatbale. Any real nba head knew golden state was gonna win before the season started.

I didn't watch after game 1 because I knew what was going to happen. Cavs were never going to challenge this Goldenstate team

There series was actually closer than the sweep would suggest. The only true blow out was game 4. Cavs were robbed of game 1, game 2 was close for the first 42 minutes and game 3 should've been a win for the Cavs. Most viewers/critics went into the series thinking, if the cavs only took them to 5 with Kyrie, this round would be similar or worse w/o him. When the refs cheated the cavs out of game 1, most people said it would be a quick series after that.

I don’t even think they respect themselves honestly. If you watch them celebrate you can tell it’s not a feeling of genuine joy or accomplishment.

I remember when Mike won his first ring in ‘91 and his Fathers Day win in ‘96. You can’t fake that emotion.

Imagine KD running to the locker room, grabbing the trophy and falling down crying with utter passion and relief.

nikkas would be looking at his front running ass like

:childplease:

To be fair, mj fell out cause of the father day win and the passing of his own father just a couple of years prior. God forbid something ever truly happended to KD mother and brother, I can see him becoming emotional. It was his mother who was telling after the first championship “forget the haters and critics”

Iggy while a solid bench player has a FMVP. The award really doesn't mean all that much.

he outplayed curry in thei first finals

Curry beat the "best player in the world" Mano a Mano,

never happened..this was the cavs second best player in those finals

because of this

while curry still had his 2nd, 3rd and 4th best players

golden-state-warriors-2015-16-team-composite-390x400.jpg

he didn't need Durant to do that. KD just made it easier. :lolbron:

he need durant after the cavs figured them out the next year in 2016

Consummate leadership from Curry gathering talent on his team and getting the most out of them. That's a Point Guards job, and he's the best in the league at it. :smugdraper:
It's Curry Season learn to love it :myman:

Who would of thought four finals in a row of "Whatever EC team LeBron is playing for" Vs the Western Conference All Star team would lead to terrible ratings...

Big shocker...

Anybody have the regular season aka Fall-Winter-Spring league numbers?

Has to be at least a dozen teams that don't break 2K in a attendance...

this is what happens when you put on reruns that are somehow worse..

change playoff seeding from East/West to 1-16 and problem solved..

bron wouldn't've been to 8 straight thats for SURE

I disagree with the premise. People are tired of seeing Bron Ball

It's :trash: basketball. We ready to see some real teams face off again. Not this tired LBJ narrative being forced down our throats.

It's the Curry Era now :blessed:

Agreed

How many times we been over this? Bron's not the problem. A stacked warriors team is.

Short term solution. Conferences and divisions mean something in leagues. The way the AFC North is filled with teams designed to battle each other for the crown :banderas:

You lose all that when you just start saying "OK everybody line up..."
