Kareem's hook is difficult to duplicate (and not as sexy as shooting three-pointers). That's why nobody uses it.

By the way, you are probably unaware that Kareem taught his younger teammate Magic how to shoot it.

Who cares how many people try to copy something? Nobody wants to use the Triangle offense (too difficult to learn), but it produced 11 championships.

Get 'em...

You don't know what you're talking about.

In the 1980 Finals, Kareem dominated in the first five games. Magic stepped up and had an all-time great Game 6. But if you think they would have won the whole series without Kareem (who put them in position to close out in the first place), you have no idea what actually happened.

Magic got hurt the following year ... and was back in time for the playoffs. Go read about how the Lakers lost in a 3-game miniseries at the last second when Magic airballed a shot that would have tied the deciding game.

Obviously Kareem was their best player since he was the MVP. I knew Kareem got hurt in game 5 and was doing his thing in that series, but I had no idea he dominated like he did averaging 33 and 12. He definitely should've been finals MVP. I also didn't know first round series were best 2/3. Wasn't even born when that series went on. Props on correcting me.

Thats why you little whippersnappers need to know your place and stfu when the men are talking. You go to basketball-rec, look up some numbers, and start spouting off with your cock sucker before even attempting to understand the context of those numbers or circumstances.

You would take Jordan over Kareem? Wilt? Shaq? Jordan couldn't even make his damn high school team. Wasn't even the leader on his college squad, but thats the guy you take over dominant centers?:pachaha:

What does that have to do with what he did in the NBA? :comeon:

Whippersnapper? I'm 31 years old, I ain't no damn kid. The fact that I DIDN'T go to basketball-ref is why I didn't understand the context because I went off the strength that Magic won Finals MVP. The fact still remains that Kareem won one ring in the 70s, and didn't win again until he teamed up with Magic. It's also a fact that Jordan accomplished more in a way shorter time span. And the fukked up thing is, I feel like Kareem is the only other player who should be in the conversation with Jordan...maybe Magic as well.

For his position, they give out 1 award. For guard, 2 are given. DPOY didn't start until the 83 season. They didn't even record blocks until Kareems 5th year. Even after that, he led the league in blocks 4 times. At his peak he was blocking 3.5 to 4 a game. As far as longevity, don't knock the man because he was able to play so long. Not his fault Jordan got suspended, I mean, "retired" twice.

I sorry but this shyt is dumb what kind of punishment makes since where it is kept a secret

Kareem carried a bunch of bad laker teams in the 70's to decent seasons. It wasn't Cap's fault the lakers didn't win titles.

You're 13. Stop it. The fact still remains, Magic didn't win a thing without Kareem. Here are more facts, Kareem led his college squad to three straight NCAA titles, highly likely it would have been four if freshman were allowed to play varsity seeing as how Kareem led his freshman team to a victory over the varsity Bruins. Another thing, how is longevity a mark against him? Longevity like that is a testament to how great he was. He was in his late 30s and early 40s using his skyhook effectively enough to still be winning.

Right. A lot of idiots on these boards like to point out how so and so didn't win rings until so and so joined the team (Jordan and Pippen for example). Key word...TEAM. No one wins championships alone.

I already admitted I was wrong, but you're trying to bait me into some internet argument. You're a lame.

No. The only lames here are the ones suggesting just one person is GOAT without even knowing or understanding the history of basketball.

My very first post in this thread was stating how MJ himself said there is no GOAT player due to the different eras. I said in MY opinion, MJ is the greatest because that's who I grew up watching, he accomplished damn near everything Kareem has in a shorter time frame, and that Kareem is the only one who should be compared to Jordan.

Then, you said, "I didn't know that", "I don't know". :yayo:
