It would be different if we didn't draft our core guys. Teams aren't going to be able to keep their cores together (if they're good/great players) in the future and some of these younger teams are going to get bit by this (too) at some point.
There's a lot of young talent in the League and those guys will all be looking for their payday.
I think there should have been something done to address drafted players Vs signed players but...

Making it impossible for a team to hit on their draft picks and keep them together long-term.
They also want to double down and punish those teams for being a good destination for guys to repair their value like DDV this season.
