TYRONE GA!
I think there should be a better incentive for the tournament. Maybe a guaranteed play-in spot if they continue the play-in or a guaranteed top 4 seeding if the team makes the playoffs or something like that.

I like those ideas. Especially the guaranteed play-in spot.

And when you think about it ..the issue just isn’t that big of a deal anymore like it was 15 years ago …players are getting paid in college now …players can go and get paid in the G-league now …it’s less of a argument to be made from a labor restriction or moral perspective in 2023 …definitely doesn’t appear to be anything worth seriously arguing over from either side

This exactly what Bobby was saying

nikkas in here just mad they were wrong about the lockout. Don't pay them know mind

$500k is still a good incentive for most players. The average player makes like $8 million. It’s roughly the equivalent of someone on a $70k salary getting a $4400 bonus

Everyone who has watched the nba for the last 40+ years
The last 40 years of basketball has been carried by stars (Bird, Magic, Jordan, Kobe, Bron, KD, Steph) and that's just the major ones not to mention the Hakeem, Barkley, KG, Dirk, AI, Tmac, Carter, Melo, Nash, Wade etc. I really don't know if there are any up and coming stars that's like that to get that fanfare. It could be Zion but he doesn't appear he'll ever be healthy enough. Maybe I'm older and don't care as much but I really don't see fans giving a fukk about guys like Morant, Tatum, Booker, Luka, Jokic, Giannis (and the ratings show). The NBA is really lucky advances in medicine have extended the primes of Lebron, Steph, KD, Harden.

Here’s the thing people are missing ….the tournament isn’t going to be a side thing …it’s going to be apart of your regular 82 game schedule so that means all of these games count towards your standings and playoff seeding ….all the league is doing is making a mid season event out of regular season games …it’s like when the NFL came up with Monday night football …it’s a simple way to hype up games that fans maybe wouldn’t be that invested in previously …so with that I don’t think they need to add anymore extra gimmicks …maybe add more bonus money for players but that’s about it

Women college basketball is getting more views than NBA regular season games

There was thread on here about how there hasn’t been 1 game people have anticipated this year

Outside of NbA Stans. The nba regular season is a dead product. The players don’t even care

It’s also going to be in November. It’s a going to be great way to build momentum for the season.

How? I haven’t read anywhere in the reporting that you’ll get punished for drafting well …whats being reported is that this restricts teams that are well over the luxury tax from using salary cap exceptions to sign veteran free agents
It prevents teams from getting players that could potentially get them over the hump if they are capped out. They are being given a ceiling
