As it should be as a lot of teams just had a G-League team for the hell of it with no emphasis of finding cheap guys to fill out their roster around max players. It was literally fukk those picks in the way that the Rams viewed it.

The irony is that the NBA is trying to get their owners to spend less while their WNBA counterpart is trying to get them to spend more.

how do you punish owners willing to spend money and put out a winning product on the court

:mjlol:
Warriors spend $170 million in luxury tax last year for their chip

Owner sent shots.. he fukked around and found out

“The truth is, we’re only $40 million more than the luxury tax,” Lacob said (h/t Ali Thanawalla of NB Sports). “Now, that’s not small but it’s not a massive number. We’re $200 million over in total because most of that is this incredible penal luxury tax. And what I consider to be unfair and I’m going to say it on this podcast and I hope it gets back to whoever is listening … and obviously it’s self-serving for me to say this, but I think it’s a very unfair system because our team is built by — all top eight players are all drafted by this team.”
