Pay close attention to these graphics and notice which seasons are the highest. Hint: It’s not the ones where GS were on top.
Notice the peak is around Lebrons ascension first Cleveland stint/his Miami tenure.

You could actually make a stronger argument that Curry’s ascension actively hurt the NBA. Because KD joining the Warriors destroyed casual interest and he ushered in the 3-ball heavy era that is pretty generally hated. The dip actually starts with him.

Along with very strong numbers across the board for every finals excluding 2007 and 2020. Mind you, 2007 LeBron was 22 and not household yet against a Spurs team that always had shyt ratings. And 2020 was Covid and every sport not named the NFL did terribly.
Most importantly, why do you seem to ignore the fact that Curry’s final ratings were only high…because he was playing LeBron?
Go look at the numbers against the Cavs vs the numbers against anyone else. Bu bu Curry

Them kids are not going back to being Broadcast TV watchers like that. They are engrained and addicted to their phones. Dat ship been sailed. But you can take advantage of that by having the Broadcast TV games free on their apps. Not sure if you can watch the free NBC Broadcast TV games through Peacock for free. IF not, then the NBC needs to make that happen immediately and CONSTANTLY promote it so the youngins can do it. That's the play IMO.
Put it on streaming for the young heads
I have peacock and they have full game replays and highlight clips. That’s fine especially for the people that don’t watch the games live. Broadcast tv has nothing to lose.. they need the eyes so why not put some games on there? Man people need to be tightening their budgets anyway. Paying for all these streaming services is stupid..

The only reason Curry's finals against the Raptors didnt do better is because they didnt count Toronto viewership. In terms of total viewers it outdrew some of lebrons heat finals I think
