Steve Nash was never seen as a bust.More like a long shot who was a victim of circumstances
His early years in phoenix, he was stuck behind Kevin Johnson, and Jason Kidd
Phoenix didn't trade him because they thought he was a hack, he'd actually showed promise.He started 1 game his rookie year and had 16 points and 12 assist.Beyond that, he was a valuable asset coming off the bench because his J was wet as fukk.
The Suns traded him to the Mavs as a favor to him.They decided to build around Kidd.Don Nelson's son ( forgot his name) was an assistant coach with the Suns during Steve's rookie year.He was hired by the Mavs that following season, so he already had the inside track on Nash.
Nash actually helped turn that franchise around.He was more of a fringe all star player in Dallas before returning to phoenix and pairing up with a coach who was the perfect fit for his game in D'antoni

I feel like the one thing Kobe has as the undisputed best is the fact that he progressed and maximized his potential to its peak more so than any other player ever. He was never the fastest, biggest or strongest. He wasn't a freak athlete by any stretch but had the strongest willpower to be best (to his detriment at times). I don't think anyone has gotten more out of what they are capable of than him. nikka career reminds me of Rock Lee before the timeskip.
