Dudes are sounding like entitled CACs. I understand not wanting to be restricted but when you make millions of dollars it's a different story. They can opt out of the season if they don't want to follow the rules.

basically.

Breh I am in dallas and there are literally 30k people at the cowboys home games during this pandemic. Mothafukkas be outside grilling before the games huddled up. We got restaurants here in Dallas where folks walk in with their masks on get seated and take their masks off. Almost no one here follows the guidelines. You can be in walmart and mothafukkas take they masks off and walking down the aisle.

So folks need to stop throwing this on athletes. Especially when regular everyday americans who know they can't afford to catch the rona cause they broke and out of shape with pre-existing conditions....out here not following guidelines.
The average American and these athletes are both wrong. The athlete though has the money to give themselves amenities that we cannot which makes their complaints much more tone deaf.

Tbh. The last part of what George Hill was saying is the truth. They shouldn’t be playing.

Truthfully we don’t deserve sports as a nation. We’ve learned nothing and are in no better position to beat covid than in March. I get that the major leagues could lose billions but you got youth sports going on too. nikkas playing middle school basketball games like it’s that important (with way less regulations and testing)

it kills me how they frame as “kids need sports” like most kids do not play sports and have no interest in doing so.

it’s a fact that “coaches need sports” the kids will fine other interest

It’s revolting but most sports fans don’t care. We need to get thru this disaster and instead we rather be distracted by high school football.

no doubt.

my thing is are they willing to give up the bread if they don't want to abide by the protocols. we know the answer.

you don't have to do shyt, just as with anything else in life, but there are consequences/repercussions by choosing not to do so.

Are they bout it or not?

this shyt pretty simple to me.
either agree to stick to bubble like protocols in the comfort of your mansion or whatever ritz carlton you in on the road
or
forgo the season, the years pay, and probably future pay as the cap craters due to network obligations and the ramifications of missing mad games
i haven't seen my family since February. it is what it is

This is true but also its real life. You got some players that want to follow the rules and those that don't. Just like out here in the streets we got regular folks who follow the rules and others who don't.

So it isn't cut and dry. Its always hard to get a large group of folks on the same wavelength. We saw this with the NFL and MLB. I said even when they had their issues that one a lot of players aren't gonna follow the protocol and two best believe some of them players who are asymptomatic are playing cause there is too much money involved and even the leagues will look the other way. Folks health be damned.

America capitalism and American individualism during a pandemic mixes like oil and water.
