i disagree....yea, players might not have the time to watch as many games as the media, but i think you're underestimating them paying attention to whose doing what in the league....they know, they talk....and yes, it will be biased somehow just like the media, but i'd still take the vote of the players over the media...
Of course, I'm not saying they're robots.
the way yall talk is yall dont want the media nor the players voting for awards, so who do yall want to do that then, fans?....yea, that would be so unbiased lol....
To be honest, I don't really care for these awards. They don't mean a cotdamn thing. No matter who votes on the awards there's always going be some level of bias. The media will always be closer to the truth though.

I don't have an issue with this but ive gotta laugh at the idea that players aren't going to be just as biased as media members are (LeBron could average 40/15/15 and still not get Joakim Noah's vote). Not to mention you'll get the same issue of guys being more familiar with the players in their division as opposed to the entire league. I mean, how much ball do you think the average player is watching when he's not playing?

But I'm in for it and I wish it was a public vote just for the fukkery with guys who have legitimate MVP candidates on their team but still decide to vote for someone else (Kevin Love).

:snoop:

they play against each other a minimum of 2x each season.
Yet they play 82 games in a season.......
they spend countless hours in film study and get advanced scouting reports on each player.
:dead:
many of these guys have also been playing against each other from the time they were kids in AAU so they know each other inside out..
:laff:

they know alot more about each other than you do watching on your TV.
Personally would they? Absolutely. I don't think anybody would dispute that. But the fact of the matter is, most of these players don't know and don't give a fukk about what's going around all with the 29 other teams in the league. They've got their own lives to live. They're not sitting down in putting as much stock into how players are playing week-in week-out like the media and fans do.

I think you tell alot more about a player by playing against them on the court than by looking at a stat sheet or watching from TV.
So you're more qualified to judge a player's WHOLE season by playing one to two games against them, than a person who watches 80+% of these games across an entire season?

Sounds about right. :troll:
