You're using his contract to make him look worse than what he is, which is unfair because on his own merit, he's still really good.

To the bolded: Harden sucked in the postseason, which is probably Joe's biggest criticism, yet we shouldn't dismiss what Harden does in the regular season, which isn't better than what Joe does. That is in essence what you said.

Sucked in the post-season? 30 point performances and clutch shots are sucking? His average was right about the same as it was for the regular season b. He had a bad Finals, but it shouldn't take away what he did overall in the 2nd round and Conference finals.

Joe Johnson and Harden's stat line scoring wise is almost identical on paper and that boy was the third option on a team with two of the league's top 5 scorers so consider how impressive that is. He's averaging 2 less points with 4 minutes less of play than joe Johnson. That's how identical their stats are.

I bring up the contract because I'm trying to emphasize how much the boy fell off. He is no where near worth that amount of money and I constantly hear people (not necessarily you b) use All-Star games rather than simply looking objectively at how dudes are performing. I just feel like Joe is a little overrated, and I still don't know why.

In my opinion, Harden is the better player, but I respect your opinion.

:ohhh: Joe Johnson is the better player right NOW but by a slim margin, but gordan and harden might in the next 2 seasons.I am Okc fan and harden is inconsistent. If you actually watch games i've seen him go off on many occasions in crunch time this past season alone, had many game winning tying shots in the clutch. He was getting all the defensive attention for Hawks and putting up all-star numbers (20+,5,5) for many seasons.Better defensively than them as well can guard 2-4. Has a nice post game and is a very good passer. Gordon and harden might be a little more athletic, He is marginally over-payed and cannot be your best player on a championship team (only kobe lebron, howard durant, paul in the league)He is an Star not a Super-star, So for this next season I would rather have jj than harden, gordan, but for future investment ofcourse you take the younger guys. :ehh:

Harden's scoring is going up exponentially every year. He's going to be a lot better this year. He's a jump shooter, but he's a great playmaker and when he's on, he's on. You could say almost the same thing for Joe Johnson. A jumpshot dependant scoring swingman who can play the 2-3 or three.

In my opinion, right now Harden is the better player. That's cool if you prefer Johnson, but I'd rather have Harden on my squad.

I definitely think Joe is gonna play a lot more consistently now that Deron is the primary option for him.

Let's see what happens. :yeshrug:

Joe is not better than harden...Joe averages 3 fta per game (one of those being a technical)...harden is a superior ball handler and play maker...Joe not averaging 20 points is terrible, and he disappears for long stretches. I've watched that dude since he first became a hawk and the decline has been steep.

Harden averages less assists and has a worse assist to turnover ratio than Joe Johnson.

I hate seeing Dallas ahead of us when they only have 1 position in which they're better than us and that's starting PF which really isn't much of a gap between Lee and Dirk if you compare their stats from last year.
I dont give a fukk how you qualify that statement..
