So they are again not going to do anything about when a shooter purposefully jumps into a defender only to draw a foul.. even when the defender avoids the shooter.. (James Harden, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson a.o.)?

That reset to 14 seconds sounds terrible.
This means catch the ball (13) pass it to a PG or ball controlling player (12) and GO. If this is their solution for 'bringing excitement back' then they don't get that we are excited about the season starting with the timer at 24 how it has always been. It's a shot clock.. it should be at 24 when reset. It will make defensive rebounds less valuable because instead of avoiding a 24 sec timer you get a 14 timer and get the ball back relatively fast. This could mess up the mentality of certain players too.
