The rules in question apply to players playing within the city limits of NYC and SF. Unvaccinated players on visiting teams are exempt from the rules in both cities.
Unless someone in the league office knows something about other cities planning to put in similar rules, idk about this here. :yeshrug:

Yeah it’s like Beal, Issac, Wiggins, Kyrie, MPJ I think that we know of. I’m interested to know who the other ones are

Ok, so both vaxxed and non-vaxxed have to test before games? If so, shouldn’t it be that covid negative players are allowed to play? Ideally want you want to solve for is whether or not there’s an active Covid case within an arena that can spread.

If all the athletes test negative at the time of play then shouldn’t they be good?

Breakthrough cases are much, much less likely than non-vaccinated cases. I feel like this isn't being communicated clearly through all this mess. Social media/certain media platforms broadcast breakthrough cases so often it seems like you're every bit as likely to get it l, but you just aren't. And it's not really all that close. Being vaccinated helps mitigate the spread of covid, and it does so at an exponential level.

All the highest covid numbers are coming from areas with the lowest vaccination rates. It doesn't make you immune from the disease but it helps, it really helps with the spread and the symptoms.

Thanks man. It definitely makes sense from a liability standpoint if having 100% vaxx means no liability. But idk if that fully addresses what is tryna be solved (No to little COVID).

Check two scenarios.

Scenario 1: Full stadium, everyone vaxxed but their are asymptomatic cases among the athletes.

Scenario 2: Full stadium, not everyone vaxxed but all players have tested negative before the game.

I would think scenario 2 is preferable since there’s no covid among the players.

Just my thinking, especially seeing that article of Harvard Bschool going back to remote classes after some breakthrough cases even though 95% of the campus was fully vaxxed.

Appreciate the discourse. That’s enough covid talk on the Coli for me. It is what it is.

That's the little shyt they don't talk about

I work for the city and have friends that work for NYCHA

Covid is hitting those folks hard. Ingersoll and Walt Whitman got hit HARD last year around Spring time.

I had the luxury of working from home around that time...others were not so lucky...
Dog I work for the city too and like you I was lucky enough to be able to work remotely as well..I get all the statistics emailed to me everyday..

The numbers are horrifying. These projects like Johnson, Grant, Lincoln and the ones you mentioned are riddled with it

Wiggins is in a lose-lose.

He looks like a goofy for not getting the vaccine, but will still look like a goofy for getting the vaccine because standing for his religious beliefs was ultimately all for nothing. I'd imagine there are quite of few players whose respective religions condemn them from getting vaccinations, but they've got it anyway, without any resistance, which is the wisest thing to do if you have any intent on staying in the league. Otherwise, if you take the route Wiggins did, you better be prepared to die on that hill.
