I said that in the sense that being a pro athlete is a privilege, not a right. No one is forcing Beal or Kyrie to be an NBA player. Don’t matter how good you are if you’re missing half the games. Especially if you’re injury prone like Kyrie.
they earned that "privilege" by being elite skill-wise. without their skill-level you have no "pro" game....

I empathize with the NBA players against being vaccinated. For my own reasons, and it's my choice, I'm on the same side.

However, I do not make millions of dollars a year to play the game I love in front of thousands of cheering spectators a night. I'm not the face of a multi billion dollar global operation, I'm not working a job that if utilized properly can feed me and mine for generations. If I get sick, no one gets hurt but me.

Also, I haven't been inside a hospital since I had a stitches for a stray gunshot wound as a 16 year old, and even then I tried to bandage it up but there was too much blood spilling out. So I drove myself to the hospital. Had to wait in er with my hand burning for 2 damn hours. I don't like hospitals.

These basketball players have personal doctors that travel with them, they get surgery done for the tiniest issues. All kinds of medicine prescribed for pain. I don't understand how this is any different for them? If Kyrie breaks his ankle, is he going to have surgery, or will he allow it to heal naturally :comeon:

If u don't want to get vaccinated, stay your ass out the hospital if u get sick. Treat yourself at home. Stay away from big crowds, like NBA games, until this whole pandemic is done.

The selfishness is unreal

So are you saying it’s cool for you not to be vaccinated, but not for NBA players and they’re being selfish? Did I interpret that right lol

Wiggins is getting the shot

Kyrie I'm not sure about. He already has fukk you money. But I think he will get an exemption due to his religious beliefs. If that fails who knows what that nikka will do.

I mean I get it but unvaxxed =\= infected in as much as vaxxed =\= not infected.

If someone’s unvaxxed but did a covid test right before the game and they were negative wouldn’t that mean they’re not harmful? But if someone was vaxxed but had Covid they’re fine (assuming they can skip testing since they’re vaxxed)?

It is what it is, but the logic is inconsistent...

No. I work alone. I don't go out. I still wear a mask. Still social distancing. I havent hung out since quarantine started. I also won't be seeking any medical treatment outside of quarantining myself and taking the proper nutrition.

Big seperation from someone who has a million dollar contract, around other million dollar contracts, traveling with the team and going on stage in front of crowds every night. Not to mention the nightlife. One NBA player getting sick can cause a ripple effect and now games are being postponed again. Not to mention these guys see doctors and take pain meds on a regular basis throughout the year. I haven't been to a doctor in close to 25 years. See the difference?
