I said that in the sense that being a pro athlete is a privilege, not a right. No one is forcing Beal or Kyrie to be an NBA player. Don’t matter how good you are if you’re missing half the games. Especially if you’re injury prone like Kyrie.

The NBA platform is part of the NBA. Everyone there earned their way. That’s not a privilege. The NBA makes money based on the players.
The NBA platform is one of the many platforms to showcase one’s basketball skills. Kyrie can take his talents elsewhere. Part of earning is the continuous ability to ADAPT. The NBA makes money based on their labor class. Their labor class also makes money off the NBA.

The funny thing is the NBA and NFL have extremely high vaccination rates anyway you square it.

They are high compared to the general population and high compared to sporting leagues across the world.

By comparison this is Englands top sports league:

The Premier League has revealed that 13 of the 20 clubs in the top division have squads where fewer than 50 per cent of the players are fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

Premier League offer special reward to clubs with highest number of Covid vaccinations

Far lower vaccination rates but no media circus surrounding it and no one gets asked about their vaccination status at press conferences. This has turned into a complete spectacle disconnected from any policy goals.

What will *tangibly* change for the general public or even NBA employees if the small minority of holdouts get vaccinated? If you are vaccinated (as majority of staff are) then you've got your protection from severe outcomes. Why the fixation then?

Do people think if the NBA gets to 100 percent coverage COVID cases will decline in their home states? This wont happen even if general public gets to high coverage. Its endemic and cannot be eliminated.

Simple answer is that England isn't getting crush by COVID like the US, their politicians actually act like leaders and not spokesmen for corporations or Clowns in a suit like the guy who was in charge when COVID popped off. England's rate of vaccination for 16 and over is some insane rate in the high 80%

Covid vaccine: How many people in the UK have been vaccinated so far?

Long story short Americans are literally paste eating retards and hammering them over the head and shaming is the only avenue left to get them to stop being stupid and tying up our hospitals with this bullshyt

Good. If you don’t want to get the shot then retire. There’s plenty of players fighting to get to the league who would take their place. I swear some people want this C*vid thing to drag on forever because of their own stupidity and selfishness.
Just plain ignorance
