Knicks/msg will always be a prominent team jus off nostalgia but n1kkas cant wait to hop on a new wave
Its money in Brooklyn, they jus need to put together a team that bring people out. Im sure the management didn't expect the novelty to fill the seats forever

You have to be in NYC right now to really understand. The gentrifiers who move here just aren't interested in Basketball. The poor immigrants who come here have no connection to Basketball. The people who live here now don't have the same emotional connection to this city as some of the 30 and over folks who have LEFT NYC.

naw, i think nobody cares.. u think die-hard KNICK fans are gonna jump ship to a team with no history or identity?

90% of Brooklyn is gentrified hipster cac's from the Midwest, they dont watch the NBA fam.
You acting like them Jersey muthafukkas wont jump on that bandwagon once the Nets get hot :stopitslime:

Not only did they move, they move to a horrible arena where everyone is squeezed in On top of each other. The sight lines at the Barclays stink.

I see that place being torn down in another 15 years

Yup. Stadium is too small to give you that same feel as MSG, and the seats are too tight. Watching a sports game there just isn't a comfortable experience. But I think they'll always be able to make money off of concerts and events.

Straight from Flatbush
most irrelevant team in the league
no-fan base
-empty crowds night in and night out
why did the NBA think Brooklyn would compete with the KNICKS, who are arguably the biggest thing in NYC..

cut your losses and now and get rid of this franchise

the NBA thought people in Brooklyn would gravitate to them and have civic pride, but didnt realize this isnt the 1990s anymore, Brooklyn is 90% midwestern cac's...:francis:

nikka i live and grew up in ny is a front running town ask yankee fans how empty yankee stadium has been these last few yrs after over 20 something yrs of playoff appearance or mets fans like myself that could get mets tickets for cheap from 09 to 14 then check the last two yrs only one team in ny area is immune to that is the knicks and that is because of location
Knicks were top 10 in attendance even when they only won 17 games breh.

Ticket prices rising is also a factor in this. People are less inclined to spend their hard earned cash to go to a game when the team is buns breh. And as well as the Mets have performed over the past couple seasons, they are still the #2 baseball team in NY.
