I was in there heavy the first year, and was fortunate to be in the D'usse Suite (Saved for the "influencers" and trendsetters, whatever bullshyt industry term they have for ppl in the industry). The location wasn't the problem, but the fact that it's the nets. Jersey didn't rock with them, you think BK will?

I'm rooting for Isaiah Whitehead and Chris McCullough, both are great kids from the Tri-State area.

Harlem via Brooklyn
naw, i think nobody cares.. u think die-hard KNICK fans are gonna jump ship to a team with no history or identity?

90% of Brooklyn is gentrified hipster cac's from the Midwest, they dont watch the NBA fam.

Where do you guys get this outrageous numbers from?

I take it that you arent from NYC or Brooklyn for that matter. There are many different things to do in Brooklyn alone. Going to watch a sub-par team isn't interesting enough for people with a billion other options.

They win, people will show up. Period.

NYC likes winners which makes it the greatest city in the world. Nobody has time to support losers because "that's all there is to do".

They've always been an irrelevant franchise with one of the smallest fan bases in sports. Trying to rebrand them in Brooklyn wasn't gonna change that
No I think the russian owner fukked them by givin away all their 1st round picks for Paul Pierce and KG :dead:

Shoulda kept em in Jersey, In Newark they would have done well.

They were supposed to stay in Newark as the brother franchise to the Devils hockey team.

They couldn't get the Newark arena deal done in a timely manner, so Bruce Ratner bought the team as a move to drive the Atlantic Yards development project in downtown Brooklyn/Ft.Greene.

The Prudential Arena in Newark, over time, would have done better for the Nets than either the Izod Center or the Barclays.

That is not true NY is made up of front running if BK had an exciting young player or a cool fun to watch team or winning it would be packed unless you are in Manhattan you better field a watchable team or nikkas won't show up it had in BX(yankees), queens(Mets), NJ (Giants. Yankees) , NY is a front running town it will become the town of whoever is hot, shyt see how many Mets fans have all of sudden popped up in the last two yrs.

NY absolutely have bandwagon nikkas, but we have to be up there amongst the best when it comes to loyalty. I've seen Mets fans rock a full Mets outfit at the Yankees parade with zero fukks given. I know some Jets fans who still argue with me now, saying next year is the year. You peeped the Cubs? The Nets are a Jersey team, not Brooklyn. Always will be.

It goes to show you how much influence Jay has. He's another reason BK was hype for this, but once Jay kept it moving, so did Brooklyn.

Team is ass thats why...Attendance is dropping in correlation to the teams record..as the record dropped every year so has the attendance..first 2 years they were in the top 20...there is no loyal established base here to keep the attendance strong year after year.

Theres a million other things to do in BK than watch trevor booker and joe harris play 35 mins a night :mjlol: :bkcry:

Yes and No for Jay...Jays influence helped alot but the borough of Brooklyn itself is a brand.

Lots of single hipsters and folks with no money/disposable income in the BK.

Few middle class families in the vicinity of the arena with kids who can grow into becoming lifetime fans
of the team.

Maybe the Russian owner can fill the team with Russians and Eastern Europeans, drawing folks from Bay Ridge and Brighton Beach to the building.
