Let's ignore the West Indian, Russian, and Italian communities that take up whole neighborhoods in Brooklyn. I live in crown heights and work in Bensonhurst. Never seen a single midwestern hipster in either place :mjlol:
I live in Sunset Park and i have yet seen a hipster cac. Sunset park is filled with so many immigrants that English is the third most spoken language after Spanish and Mandarin. These out of town nikkas are serious clowns. Imagine these nikkas say that shyt while walking into the Marlboro Projects. :pachaha:

You think all of Brooklyn is just Williamsburg? :stopitslime:Have you ever been to Brownsville,East new York,Flatbush,Bed Stuy,Crown Heights,Coney Island,Canarsie? they did so much wrong with that...nets always had a smaller fanbase, but at least they had jersey to draw from, real cats from brooklyn (and the other boroughs) are likely knicks fans, then the whole jay-z is the owner excitement dikkriding wave crashed one he cashed out, they made the wrong or no moves, even the "swagged out" russian billionaire lost his luster...they were a shiny toy for a second and now it's back to reality

Aside from their J Kidd years, the Nets haven't been much of anything since they left the Nassau Coliseum
and their ABA champ days led by The Doctor, Larry Kenon, and Super John Williamson.
Y'all crazy, as soon as the nets get a good young player it's ova
This right here. Hard to establish a fanbase when the team has no identity or marketable young stars to build around.

Someone from out west thinking he knows the demographic of a place he's never been :dead:. Let's keep in mind the OP is the same guy who called Canada "overseas"

Maybe if they didn't draft away all their draft picks to pay those over the hill veterans, shyt wouldn't be like this.

difference is aint shyt else to do in OKC... we talkin about New York City here :yeshrug:

bring the Pelicans to Los Angeles and see if anyone gives a shyt :mjlol:
:what:They would do well in Orange County. The LA metro loves the NBA.

Brooklyn should've done a full rebrand imo. Why move them to Brooklyn and still call them the Nets:scust: Always always do a full rebrand

Winning cures everything. They'll be fine when they start winning and you'll see all these "Nets fans" start popping up. Look at the Clippers. No one thought they'd ever be relevant, let alone be able to have a fanbase with the Lakers in the same building, but they're winning now so they're fine. They'll never be the Lakers sure, but they're not really supposed to be.

I would also argue the Nets shoulda changed the team name too. They're still associated with that trash team from Jersey who hasn't won shyt since Jason Kidd was there :scust:
Clippers always sold out though.. even when we sucked. Good crowds at the old Sports Arena too

This. NYC is a bandwagon city, Jets was more popular when Rex Ryan was taking the Jets to AFC title game back to back years, Mets had more buzz these past two seasons than the Yankees did, etc.

There's probably more Cavs & Warrior fans in NY than Knick fans 2016, I'm a 90s baby so I'm only speaking for my generation, but I rarely saw Knick fans my age, they was usually Laker fans or whatever team Bron was playing for.

Those Cavs & Warriors fans you speak of are bandwagon fans. Jets were more popular because Rex Ryan was a character.

way to miss the point genius.. a team with no history or identity is gonna come into a market and take shares away from established teams like the Lakers, Clippers, and take attention away from other sports teams like the Dodgers, Angels, etc.

Now you're changing what you said in the post I responded to. You said nobody would give a sh*t if the Pels moved to LA and I disagreed. Put them in the OC and they do well right off the bat. They would be in the Angels, Ducks, Pels bracket deep in Orange County. 20 million metro breh, wouldn't be a problem at all.. Of course the Lakers and Clipps would protest and block the move but its doable from an attendance standpoint- they already have Anthony Davis as the star. Remember the Sac Kings were on the verge of moving to the OC years ago.
