most irrelevant team in the league
no-fan base
-empty crowds night in and night out
why did the NBA think Brooklyn would compete with the KNICKS, who are arguably the biggest thing in NYC..
cut your losses and now and get rid of this franchise
the NBA thought people in Brooklyn would gravitate to them and have civic pride, but didnt realize this isnt the 1990s anymore, Brooklyn is 90% midwestern cac's...

blame Bruce Ratner, Barclays Center was a big piece in his real estate plans in Brooklyn, the Nets were a means to get that done. Originally, the Prudential Center was going to be Devils/Nets collaboration but then YankeesNets business partnership collapsed with the Nets and Devils getting separate ownership group not involved with each other. I personally like Barclays Center setup as much I wish the Nets stayed in Newark. Seems like Sean Marks has the organization in the right direction after Billy King and his epic screw ups.
