A mix of different types of older buildings, including housing that has been seized through eminent domain.

then they can take the LIRRThey're still not as ubiquitous as they are in Manhattan.
It's an excuse for why people from Long Island wouldn't want to do something in the boros.

It was the owners of the Nets prior to Ratner who wanted to move the Nets and the Devils to Newark from the Meadowlands.
The prior owners had a history in Newark and were backers of Cory Booker.
When the prior owners' partnership dissolved, they sold the team to Ratner (who has no connection to Newark) who wanted to use the Nets move to drive the development of the arena and the Atlantic Yards project.
Everything changed pretty much when the YankeeNets business partnership dissolved.

"Good to know."I live close to Barclays, I love having every major act come through there and be able to catch NBA games cheap

My man, you clearly do not know anything about Barclays, Brooklyn, the area, the culture, or the development.
So why are you arguing?
Why don't you instead do a little research, hit google up, check the Times, which did a ton of contemporaneous reporting, as well as the Daily News and WSJ which have basically been following the arena and its impact... and then come back to us?
You're acting real silly right now.
People just want the nets to be moved to Seattle. I've seen tons of 2k17 franchise videos where they move the nets to Seattle. This shyt here![]()
Guess we're ingnoring the first 3 seasons in Brooklyn when we averaged 17,000 a game and were middle of the pack attendance-wise. When the team was competitive and in the playoffs people came and that building was loud for big games.
When we're trying to rebuild the mess we got left in, people are not coming. And yet we're still not dead last in attendance. Bucks, Nuggets, and T-Wolves have worse #s. So all you've proven here is that shytty teams don't draw fans like the good ones. What a shocker.
No, we're not gonna "Take over NY" like those dumb campaigns they ran. The Knicks are always NY's team, just like the Giants, Yankees, and Rangers. NY sports is made up of Big Bro-Little Bro, this is just another example of it.
The first 3 years proved a competitive team will draw interest. Not Knicks level interest, but interest that makes Brooklyn more than viable.
Las Vegas will get a team first before the nba returns to Seattle.Visited plenty of times and have done my research.. Brooklyn is gentrified, most have moved to Jersey or down south
What are you talking about.dont care about the nets.Breh. The nets just arent that good.
What's so hard to figure that out?
dont care about the nets.
