fukk all that. How are fans in LA supposed to get to a game that starts at 5-6pm? It's called TRAFFIC
It's stupid. I bet none of the people cheering this would like to see their East Coast teams regularly starting at 5 or 6 local time either.

As a non-US breh I don't care about time differences, but I do have a question : how were brehs doing when it was Magic, later Kobe and Shaq? Wasn't people watching Lakers games despite the time difference? 
If that, lakers fans living in Santa Monica / West LA (which is most of the ones who can afford it), won't even make it in time.....Wait is this shyt real? Start regular season games at 6 in LA and people won't make it till the 2nd half

There were great and interesting players in the east to off-set it. Bird and Jordan in Magic's era and Iverson, Mcgrady, Carter, Lebron ect. in Kobe and Shaq's era

Exactly. I just typed in directions from the Pier to Staples right now and it's 1 hr and 14 min....if a game started at 5 you'd barely get there. And most people are still at work around this time
His version of early west coast games will probably be 630 instead of 730. That’s a fair compromise. Anything earlier than that is some bullshyt, especially for people in LA

They make their money in the TV contracts not the turnstiles.
I mean, I don't get up early for work but generally speaking the second game on a TNT doubleheader will start around 10:30 and go till around 1, if you've got multiple OTs you're looking at a 2AM finish. No one's trying to do that who has to get up at 7am
