My Pops Forever RIP
But Deron was basically supposed to be on the same level as Chris Paul, had he played at close to that level this is a completely different team

At no point did he ever live up to that contract, he doesn't even want to start anymore

Billy King's trade with Boston looks bad now and sadly has potential to look a million times worse if those picks are as high as it's looking like they will be, but I do think deron deserves some of the blame as well
some?

Deron hasn't been the player they thought he'd be. If New Yorkers cared more, he'd be treated worse than Melo.

Hes gotten off easy, no doubt

The Billy King trade with Boston has potential to go down as the worst trade of all time so id say they deserve equal blame

Said Garnett would end up going back and then joining the organization not sure if he said ownership

Hope he does it, it'd be an amazing story

He should be looked at as a top 5 power forward of all time

It's been reported he wants to buy the Timberwolves when his career is over

He might as well go there, finish his career and start working in the front office

He needs to use the no trade as leverage to set up his future in Minnesota tho

But absolutely great story

The LI
I honestly feel bad for Brooklyn fans

What the Hawks and Boston did to Brooklyn is borderline criminal

And on top of that, now Billy King has a job still is even more head scratching

That 2016 unprotected first rounder going to Boston is gonna be incredible

Deron deserves some of the blame tho, he never really played well enough to justify that contract at any point in his time in Brooklyn

Honestly its just going back to the old days now, we had this 2 year run of actually playing playoff basketball and it culminated with beating the Raptors which was an incredible moment and series. As awful as that Celtics trade was I will forever be thankful to Pierce and KG for that series, and to Joe for putting our offense on his back for 7 games.

Getting the players we got wound up helping us, the issue was with Billy Kings "negotiating tactics" which apparently consist of letting the other GM ask for whatever they want. We could have had Joe for all the expiring contracts, but Billy just kept giving ATL picks. Same with KG and Pierce, a competent GM gets that done for 1 first at most.

He was competing with no other teams and somehow gave away all the leverage any competent GM would have. That says it all really

Billy King fukked us, its as simple as that. And the ownership will not fire him, so they deserve every further fukkup he makes

Until Prokhorov sells and the new owner fires King we have no shot. But I'm used to rooting for a team who has no shot so its nothing new

The Nuggets are apparently shopping everybody but Brian Shaw and Ty Lawson added another tire to the fire by not showing up to practice yesterday. He was in Vegas and this of course comes after his arrest for suspicion of DUI, and he’s joined the rest of the crew in trade rumors. Chris ‘take it with a grain of salt’ Broussard says that the Nuggets are trying to move Lawson and that Shaw wants old pupil George Hill, and I’ll believe that when I see it, but I’m not going to pretend there’s no chance Lawson gets dealt.

Arron Afflalo is basically gone and last night Woj took Portland’s position as favorite and threw it up in the air by mentioning something game-changing came in to Denver last night. I can’t help but think the Kings are trying to work a big deal here, as a) they definitely want Afflalo and b) they just added George Karl and c) both teams are desperate enough to make a blockbuster happen.

if I saw Ty Lawson and Arron Afflalo traded for Darren Collison, Ben McLemore, Jason Thompson, Derrick Williams and a future Kings first-rounder I wouldn’t be insanely shocked, nor would I be shocked if Kenneth Fariedand JaVale McGee got traded for the same group (minus a future pick) with Collison swapped out for Ramon Sessions.

Sacramento might be the one place Afflalo could work out in terms of retaining fantasy value, but otherwise he’s probably going to take a hit.

If McLemore is on the table, Danny Ainge needs to get him

could the Kings offering McLemore be one the "late-chargers" Woj was talking about? :leon:
