Not just you, but why are you making the assumption that Denver will be peaking as a team doing that? Most teams simply can't bypass missing the playoffs to being a juggernaut team. Even the Dubs were a low seed the first two times they made it back (and won their first series). They can make the playoffs and build upon that and gain that experience for a young team moving forward.
Making the playoffs in any way as a young team can only be good.
Depends what you get. If you can get a good young player and/or a future pick if you're Denver you should do it
As far as a young teams gaining experience and moving forward that's not always the case.it depends on how good the young players and overall roster is
A few years ago when the Pelicans made the playoffs instead of progressing they haven't made it back(though they might now with Cousins)
There's no guarantee that you're gonna keep climbing the following year after making the playoffs
ive been saying this the most on paper melo to cavs sounds amazing but when you really think about it
Vlade just said the Kings had a better offer 2 days ago for Cousins and didn't take it.
If we're
with him, we'd be even worse without him. Plus we need some type of reliable veteran on the squad, with all these young players we have.
