Nah, I don't agree and there are healthcare professionals on this forum that would say much differently.

There are healthcare professionals that would disagree that there is bias in how African-Americans are treated when it comes to the quality of their medical care.

Also there was an article recently about COVID treatments being left on the table that could reduce the severity of the disease and reduce the duration of hospital stays. The less time you spend in the hospital the better, particularly in facilities where care was questionable at best Pre-COVID. A hospitalized COVID patient had time to beat his fellow COVID patient to death with an oxygen tank. Once you get to the point of hospitalization you can barely walk so imagine the amount of time needed to beat someone to death with an oxygen tank while battling severe COVID. These patients are being left to their own devices.

There are stories of doctors and nurses that put in months of work and helped someone beat COVID. Many actually. But then you had nurses putting patients on vents as early as possible to protect themselves, damage done to the patient be damned. Fact is there needs to be more scrutiny and pressure for improved treatment, particularly since so many of us are having bad outcomes. Why would you want any less at this point?

Also read the story about the black physician who chronicled her poor care by peers before she succumbed to COVID herself. It's not all good in these facilities.

Wow RIP

I could tell he had an underlying sickness when he had that rapid weight loss a couple years ago, and would take off for months while working for NBA TV

This virus is so fukked man. Dude was normal a few weeks ago, and outta nowhere he's gone.

Covid causes alot of inflammation in some patients. He most likely died from a heart attack. Covid thickens the blood if your body doesn't fight it right away and you don't seek help soon enough blood clots start forming. That's what killed that Louisiana politician. Every covid patient in the hospital is given blood thinners.

I swear this shyt is freakin me out and it’s for the reasons you outlined. I got through the worst of the symptoms but it’s that quiet stuff like the effects to your blood stream, lungs, kidney, all that other shyt that isn’t as apparent as the up front symptoms.

All of y’all be careful and responsible out here. I know it sucks and it’s annoying but it helps to take extra measures for yourself and your loved ones. Don’t be a selfish dikkhead just to harm yourself and others later on. Smh, January 26th is an ugly day for the NBA.

Schedule a checkup with your doctor and ask them to do blood tests and take labs of your lungs. You never know if you have a blood clot that they might find. The sooner you catch it the easier it is to treat with blood thinners.

I had a friend in his late 20s die a few months ago and his family said he died from a heart attack. Looking back now I wonder if it might of been covid related because he seemed perfectly healthy.
