To be fair a lot of these players aren’t noticeable or noteworthy. Just like when they played. It’s just they care even less now that they don’t interact with them.

I get what that guy is saying but "Inside The NBA" has a big comedic element to it that pretty much makes the show what it is.. a multiple Emmy Award winning show. They pretty much know everybody but they also say what's on the mind of the people watching. They even shyt on the games they're showing if its bad teams or a blowout. Nobody or nothing is safe on that show and its the best basketball show on television bar none.

If you want to get down to the serious nooks & crannies NBA talk you have to get Sirius XM for the NBA Channel and they go in in IN on there about everything every single day for hours.

A lot of :flabbynsick: people don’t care too much about the analytical stuff when it comes to basketball. We grew up watching nba inside stuff with Ahmad Rashad. I’m not sure if it’s still on but I remember seeing a show on nba tv with four white hipster dudes. That shyt sucked to me but I think it was geared towards the younger generation.

brehs defending their buffoonery is comical. nobody's asking them to do expert-level analysis on each fkin game.

Exactly. Chuck especially, doesn’t even have the basic level of nba knowledge to have a debate on the coli, let alone be sitting on National TV running his mouth about the game.

Thecoli where deep analysis means knowing who players are and what country they're from.
Lol. But sports analysts is way down these days. People want entertainment more than some real shyt they can learn. I mean I’m sure Stephen A and Max will drop some kind of decent sports knowledge on that show, but people respond to one clowning the Cowboys when they lose and the other guy saying Tom Brady has fallen off a cliff. I mean I get mad T hiphop podcasts where people don’t even know general hiphop shyt or just don’t even care about shyt until Twitter gets a hold of it. People mostly use their platforms now for these jokes and to
Spew bullshyt.

One dude complaining.....and a couple more chiming in is thread worthy?

Charles and Shaq barely speak comprehensible English...people tune into that show for the laughs and highlights....

Nobody is being forced to watch
That’s the thing. People aren’t tuning in.

Bruh wtf is this nikka babble? You really think the league is ok with a broadcast partner telling fans and viewers not to watch a game? You dudes be twisting yourselves up into knots trying to make sense out of nonsense.
Nobody gives a damn about some goofy ass matchups. Shaq begging fans to watch Sacramento vs Knicks won’t change this. Get over it.

This type of shyt will ruin the NBA product. When the highest paid sports commentators clearly don't watch the games and spend their time telling fans that today's game is lower quality than when they used to play, why would fans be encouraged to watch games?

And its not even that hard to be a charismatic, goofy commentator and still be a professional...

Matter of fact, could we start a gofundme to get Clyde Frazier to announce every prime time game and do all the halftime shows :jbhmm:

Nobody asking them to be Zach Lowe

To turn this into some militant shyt mf clowns :mjlol:

And Shaq and Chuck be c00ning it up :mjlol:

Honestly my reaction to this narrative would be way different if c00nles and Shaq weren't perpetually on some blue lives matter type of time...

The rings argument didn’t start with the TNT crew. That’s always been a huge argument between how players should be ranked. Even at the end of Kurtis Blows basketball, when they’re having dialogue, and Kurtis or someone else was like Wilt had all the stats , but Russell had the rings and that track came out in 1984.
Well I guess you the only one propping up Curtis Blows opinion to NBA player’s opinion.

NBA discussion was completely dumbed down around the 2000s:yeshrug:

I remember having nuanced debates as a kid with my brother in 96.

Rings still isn’t the end all be all. But it was always factored into the discussion. You can have nuanced basketball talk and include rings. The all time rankings even going back to 1997 when they did the 50 greatest all time, featured top 10 guys who built their legacy through post season performances. And that includes rings. And many had rings.

Yeah I agree with that.

inside the NBA is a casuals show. Casuals take their opinions and run with them. They’ve dumbed the discussion down more than they even needed to just outta laziness.

yeah rings are apart of the argument but so is context( probably more so). Context you only get from watching games, which Chuck has admitted to not watching.

what I’ve noticed is that on occasion he will big up some role players he liked from his time that he knows to be better than perceived. But when it comes to current role players... If they hadn’t showed out in their TV game they don’t know them.

the more I think about it the more clownish it seems.
