Players don't even own their own tatoos?
Get mad, when we call them 40million dollar slaves breh.

Copyright law is complicated. When someone buys a tat owned by someone else (as opposed to walking into the shop with their own idea), they're buying a one-time non-exclusive license to display that work on their bodies in perpetuity. However, what 2k has done is displayed the tat-makers work without permission. The medium (the digi-representations of players bodies) doesn't matter. They used their work commercially.

2K sports intellectual property people are buffoons and they're going to have to settle, because they can't win it.

You're thinking of it wrong.

When Mr. Cartoon does tattoos for famous people... they're still his tattoos.

Doesn't matter how much they paid for his work, it's still his work.
When you sell it, it should belong tthe person that paid u. If I sell u property, I no longer have rights to that property. Whats next, a barber suing cuz his fade made the game? Are braiders gonna sue cuz braids are in the game :mindblown:

This is the country where a woman sued McDonald's for burning her when she spilled her coffee on herself even though it had a warning label on it. We have a guy here who failed to catch a boomerang, got his in the face with it, sued himself, and was awarded $300,000 for the lawsuit. This is not surprising :heh:

What is this logic that tatoos remain the property of the tatoo artist :skip:

How you pay for something and it's still not yours? :jbhmm:

It's American copyright laws. It's really big in video games, movies, art and digital shyt in general. If you read the terms of service there will be a line that says somethibg along the lines of your paying for the liscence to be able to use our product and we can tare that liscence away at our discretion.
