Let the players have it and the season will be 60 games and you can be MVP playing 30. I’m not paying attention to any of the crocodile tears
this is such a strawman. no one wants an MVP player to play 30 games. The NBA players themselves are fine with 82 games

This is all stemming from the belief that the NBA players are pampered babies smh

I think the NBA does need to change the start time so teams arent playing 5 games in 7 nights

between NFL, College Football, the NFL playoffs/Superbowl, March Madness/Nat'l Championship, Adam silver is worried falling on the wayside. But he needs to extend the season so players arent straining as much

Hell, Christmas used to be NBA only, but Goodell said fukk that, and now we have NFL on christmas. And this past christmas, the games werent even good, and people still watched it.

Grand opening grand closing

Adam Silver, as usual, doesnt know what he's talking about. There's a lot of money on the line having players play 65 games

this is no different than the NFL saying there's no correlation between CTE diagnoses and football. It's a bunch of crap

fukk outta here, bytch ass nikka. I'm proving why the rule is unnecessary

it's arbitrary, and it affects more than MVP. Now that salaries are tied to these selections, it's going to be scrutinized more.

dumbass nikka, the rule needs to go, or be altered because it's too punitive, especially considering 65 was a fukking arbitrary number. retroactively, it would affect a lot of players from the past

yao ming would lose almost all his all-NBA selections
butler would also be negatively affected, as well as demarcus cousins
Even LeBron would lose out, but still have the all-time record

it's not just kobe, and i'm not nitpicking you fukking bum. Multiple stars would be affected

Shaq would lose 4 selections

Embiid Would lose 3
Bron would lose 4
then it woulda been up to Shaq to not show up out of shape to begin a season if that shyt meant something to him.

There’s literally a hardship rule that gives guys at 62 games an exception. I hate it had to be Cade but it is what it is, nbapa looks crazy. Only way the NBA is changing this rule is if it ends up taking out the top 3 mvp candidates all at once or some shyt

IT WAS BULLshyt
BECAUSE GUYS WOULD JUST
VOTE IN THE POPULAR PLAYERS
EVEN THO THEY MISSED 34% OF THE SEASON
WHICH IS WHY THE RULE EXISTS.

THE MEDIA CANT BE TRUSTED
ANYMORE THAN THE PLAYERS CAN
SO SAFE GUARDS HAD TO BE PUT IN PLACE

Thats life though. Best ability is availability.

And its not like it was just sprung on him. Rule been around for 3 years now. Everybody knows what it is.
I didn't knock players for sitting under the previous system to preserve themselves for the playoffs. It was the game. Same here. Its the game.

He did not have a significant injury earlier in the season. He coulda played 4 of those games and this is a non story.

Kawhi Leonard is the posterboy for this rule. nikka bout to play 65 plus for the 2nd time in 3 years after failing to do so each of the previous 6. And he got a degenerative condition and and he is in his mid 30s now. If you bout your bread, you act accordingly. If you get legitimately hurt, thats tough but you still getting paid handsomely.

They dont hear you tho.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Exactly. A late-season freak accident shouldn't take you out the running

Also, it forces players with a nagging injury to keep playing, making the issue worse

Also, the game is just played differently than in the past, so players are going to sustain more injuries. This rule does nothing to address load management. In addition, I never thought load management was that big of an issue
And they knew all these things when they signed the contract... Y'all acting like the NBA just made this up like the NFL makes up rules

The actual NBA players and their association had to sign off on this, knowing injuries happen and everything else y'all mentioning in the thread

Now, one nikka gets injured and they act like it's all 400 of them clamoring for changes.. When really, somebody who played their games is about to get the awards and say "fukk that nikka"

seems like his problem why should anyone care injury is an injury

sounds like pussies complaining that things are getting normal again
"forces players with nagging injuries to keep playing" ... yeah thats what you do
if you are fukked up just play and limit your minutes, thats what a team is for

plus you can look at the schedule and pick what games you're gonna have to recover for or tank out... that's called coaching
if I break my finger, I'm gonna play harder against trash teams and dial it in around top teams to rest my hand. That just is what it is if you get hurt.

everytime you step on the court you risk losing your season... so whats the difference. When you get wild nikkas like Kobe and AI going super hard forever... they could have easily just buckled at the finish line... isnt that what Kobe did with his Achilles? that's just life.
