I'll say this though.....They need to give these athletes some of that money they are making. It's too much money now. The SEC as a whole is making at least 1/2 Billion dollars off of athletics and giving the athletes the same things they've been giving them for decades. It doesn't work anymore. All conferences should be breaking bread with the athletes across all sports now (As they can, and it should be a percentage of what the conferences make overall)

The SEC and the ACC won't be the leaders in breaking bread. They're the descendants of slaveowners.

Because of what?

They didn't turn in eligiblity paperwork in enough time. Same thing happened to Southern & Alabama State recently. The probation will be lifted if the paperwork is turned in by August 15th.

The ban is only from postseason play for next year. Not too bad since we're basically in rebuilding mode.

This never happens to us. Why us brehs?

Corruption.....man, A&M has been having problems for years finding people who will do things the right way in every area. People get in those high positions at the University and start taking advantage of their situations. Seems like they are always firing somebody for breaking rules whether in athletics or academically. If they keep it up they'll be in trouble keeping their accreditation.

Some of that's true for the academic side, but athletic issue is fairly new and mainly caused by not having qualified compliance people. Its the presidents fault because he cut the athletic budget and hired a compliance director who never worked in college athletics before.

Thats fukkin dirtbag level sabotage! :damn:

I'm close to the program, so I get all the dirt. :steviej:

Meh
Almost every school has a bunch of violations.
Ole Miss is just the latest one to get busted.

I guess they didn't pay off the right people.

Ole Miss has had some of the most loosey goosey standards across the board in all of their sports for years,of course with the NCAA being borderline incompetent I'm not holding my breath on them looking too hard at the school besides slapping a few penalties on the not as stringent in covering up non football sports

Im thinking the same thing. Their harshest penalty is having this announced the weekend before signing day.

Watch for the flips! :gladbron:
