That is irrelevant to whether or not you should be paid. If you perform an action, and said action generates a revenue in some way, you are entitled to a cut of said revenue end of story.

Hurts the integrity of the game. These are supposed to be amateurs. Corporate brings in to many rules, more control over the lives of prospects, added stress to the players and hurt the cohesive effect of the team. This can potentially distract them from their education, hurt relationships with friends/teammates, and hurt their basketball career if they make poor long term decisions for quick financial gain.

Not to mention over inflate abilities and allocate resources to players who may have more personality then skill.

For me, it'll be more like the NFL which is so corporate now.

To me, I find the NFL boring because it is overly corporate (look at all the lame Taylor Swift shyt while the quality of the early regular season games are mid af). Honestly the NFL isn't even a football league to me anymore. It's sports entertainment like the WWE, except it features football instead of wrestling. Should call it the World Football Federation since they want to build a franchise in London anyway.

The last thing college football fans want is for it to become more like the NFL in all the wrong ways.

also If you don't want to give it to the athlete's who earned it, why not donate it to the people who have to scrape their savings together then? Why do you think its fair for the school to just keep it?

Moreover you still didn't address why students getting paid to work the scorekeeper table doesn't hurt the game, but paying the student who scores the points does. Literally contradicts your entire argument because they are paying some students. all you offer was that the scorekeeper doesn't get a scholarship, which i also proved wrong.

The school invests money in the infrastructure/contracts and takes the risk on their investment (people like you) paying off. If the investment is a bust, you dont share the debt. You get free money to go to college. They are taking on more risk then you and you agreed on your compensation package in scholarship benefits to attend.

This in my opinion creates an unhealthy dynamic and pressure for a college student. Players who are nba bound don't need sponsorships. They're going to be rich. Players who are not probably feel they should get paid but I don't believe what they're offering the team warrants it and they may be exaggerating their importance on the team
