Also, I can’t have sympathy for anyone who claims to be broke but they keep on having children. I’m talking about married couples as well as single parents.
Man I work with people pulling dual 60-100k salaries getting bodied by childcare costs. One of my coworkers is dropping $1500 A MONTH in daycare costs. Combined with DC's high COL that shyt is killing them.
My other cousin and his wife both live in DMV and combine to make $180,000 a year and has 2 kids, but they living check to check, cause of child care and his wife wants to compete with her girlfriends and their husbands
I can believe it. Alot of Americans are basically indentured servants some just have nicer stuff . Most of our money is accounted for before we even earn it. This check I have to pay my rent/mortgage, utilities, grocery shopping, credit cards/student loans etc.. Next check I have to pay my life insurance, health insurance, car insurance, car note, etc.
And we basically live trapped in this cycle till we die
That they are willing to go broke to avoid public schooling.Any couple with a combined income of 75k or more should be able to afford to raise children in any place in this country, the fact they cant speaks to serious issues with this country.
Not everyone lives close enough to family that can afford to watch your kids whenever you need.I never understood daycare?
nikka it was 3 of us i was never in day care in my life neither was my siblings. We stayed over cousins, godmama, church friends, neighbors, grandparents cribs when my folks had to work.
You can’t tell me everybody don’t got an older auntie they can throw $50 to watch they kid
Ok fam. If you think I’m lying and that helps you sleep better at night then do you breh.First you said 40% went to your rent bills and food etc, now it's 40% only went to rent.
Most adults have a car and 1 or 2 children, it's easier to save money when u living the bare minimum with minimal responsibilities
I can only speak for myself. I planned carefully every step of the way. I didn’t buy or create humans knowing I’d struggle at that point in life. And I invested in myself so I wouldn’t be working jobs where I’m being paid the bare minimum to do hard manual work. It’s a tough world but someone has to do it.Millions of folk have jobs that arent reachable by walking or public transportation. I work from home now but i used to have to drive 45 minutes to work. A car is a necessity in many parts of the country.....now you gotta pay gas, insurance and possibly a car note
Rent and utilities are high as hell in a lot of the country so even just those two ate breakin nikkas bakks in 2019. Places are nowhere ascheap as they used to be in 2009 and thats not just in major cities either
Lot of jobs are paying ppl super shyt pay for hard work and rarely give a raise and if tbey do its like 3%. Ppl look for better gigs but so are thousands of other ppl and there arent that many good fulltime jobs anymore which is why the gig economy is so big
And thats assuming you have no kids.....once kids are involved, expenses get crazy
It depends on the value of the car and what you can afford.Yeah you figure a car note + gas + full coverage. That's gotta be $600 a month
Where in my posts or any of the ones quoted say that?Do yall know how crazy yall sound talking about people making upwards of 6 figures being irresponsible for having kids?
Do yall think only the wealthy should have children?

The fukk does this even means? That they are willing to go broke to avoid public schooling.
what makes you say that?
I never said you personally said that.Where in my posts or any of the ones quoted say that?
If you’re struggling to raise a child, then stop having more and complaining.
I know shytty wealthy parents and I know parents who are on average incomes and yet they hardly struggle financially.
I agree that the cost of raising a child is ridiculous and should be addressed but if people know that, why keep on having children if you know you can’t handle the financial responsibility?
Having children is a choice, not a right.
