I believe it. A lot of folks are broke, literally leeching their way off of other people and sadly, half of them put themselves in these situations by living beyond their means. Theyre good at faking it. Some of them don't even wanna work. Folks not even trying to be self sufficient.

When someone moves to NYC I always tell them don’t buy a car. Rent is expensive as fukk here but you’d be surprised at how long your money goes when you aren’t paying for a car note/lease, insurance and car repairs, ticket violations and EZ Pass.

shyt this makes me want to sell my car since I live next to a train station.

Matter of fact I wonder if using Zipcar is cheaper than owning a car if you do not need a car for the weekdays.

:ohhh:
if your car is paid off, keep it. public transportation aint worth it if you're a busy body. parking can really suck though.

might be cheaper and more convenient to rent a car especially if you can get someone to dropoff/pickup from the rental place.

BTW, I’m not shytting on anyone. One’s career/job doesn’t make the next man better or worse than you. We all know that wealth is disproportionately distributed. We all know the middle gets squeezed the most. We know these major corporations pay little to no tax. We know it’s unfair how inflation is above the average person’s wage increase.

Now what?

Do you sit and complain about it or do you spot an opportunity? Maybe I’m just a pure capitalist but I’ve seen and heard too many people complain rather than try and find solutions.

If you don’t empower yourself economically, then you limit your options and influence. So really, it’s up to you. Find your way to the front of this rat race or get left behind. Because it’s not going to change anytime soon.

Your post is just hot air with nothing of substance. "Spot an opportunity" or "find solutions" or my favourite "find your way to the front of this rat race" are not concrete ways for someone who is broke to starting earning some money. Do you honestly think the people here are not hustling, working as many hours they can and having roommates for rent? You really are living in a fantasy land and are not taking into count of rising inflating, stagnating wages and a terrible economic climate.

You yourself said damn near half your cheque went into rent and you are were making decent bread, so how does someone in a worse state empower themselves?

There’s a difference between working hard and working smart. I never work hard. Even when I was hustling. I’m not buying this this “hot air” nonsense. My boy was jobless, had no qualification and was broke. I helped him get an apprenticeship and now he’s caking in six years.

Some people just aren’t smart enough to invest in themselves. If you’re still working the same dead end job after 10 years, that’s you’re fault.

There are way more avenues to make money now. And sadly, someone has to the bag the groceries. Someone has to be the valet. Someone has to make the coffee... well at some point, most of these jobs that don’t require a skill will be automated.

I’m not living in a fantasy land. A lot of people just aren’t smart or don’t want better for themselves. I get that some people are born into a fukked up situation but wallowing in self pity isn’t going to make shyt better.

So find a skill, trade, legal hustle, passive income or keep on whining. The choice is yours. :yeshrug:

Not to mention it’s grown men on the Coli that don’t know how to do basic car maintenance :mjlol:

nikkas running to the dealership for spark plugs or a filter change, who raised yall nikkas :scust:
Yeah, let the average man try to do spark plugs on a transverse V6 with the rear cylinder bank tucked underneath the windshield. fukk outta here. Factory trained techs have a hard enough time as it is. :mjlol:

These threads quickly delve into bootstraps, shaming others for their missteps and random occurrences, and people bragging about themselves.

It’s not just spending habits. You’re stuck with student loans, high rent, low wages. It’s tough .
But this is the coli the land of milk and honey

Aren't you in Canada. Why you talking about what's going on in somewhere you don't live?

The funny thing is that back in the 90s and 80s, people dealt with the same shyt and made way less. A lot of this shyt is going on because people are actually supporting the problem. There a lot of folks who are knowingly taking out student loans to go to schools they don't need to go to and fir degrees that aren't going to get them the work to pay their bills. They are willing to rent at places they know they can't afford or need to depend on other people to help them pay the apartment they are sharing with other people who can't afford that shyt with either. Plus spending all this money here and there, not saving and etc. folks are setting themselves up to fail and they're expecting someone else to save them and they're not even trying to save themselves either. So with that said, it's safe to say folks are creating their own fukkery. They make bad decisions and have no accountability, take no responsibility for it. There's folks coming from abroad with nothing, figuring out the system and surviving. Folks born and raised here with silver spoons and money winging up broke. Some of these folks want to be bums and failures... nowadays it doesn't bother people because they can be in denial and lie on social media where people will believe their bullshyt. Folks ready to play victims yet are a victim of their ego and themselves. The system is fukked up but these folks arent wisening up even after they learn about it.
