That's why I always :mjlol: when people talk about "parity" in the NFL
All the parity in the NFL exist only in the NFC. But in the AFC, it's been the same rotation of Teams/QB's winning the conference for the last 15yrs. The AFC to me, is no different than the NBA as far as parity goes. I think Pittsburgh or New England are favored to come out of the AFC next year. Furthering my point.

:patrice: yeah, but half of the teams that havent won have been in the super bowl at least
NFC didn't have much parity in the 90's, whereas the AFC might've had a little bit more parity.

That all completely switched in the 00's with Manning, Brady and Roethlisburger dominating the AFC, and the NFC having a new team every year making the Superbowl.

You could say the same thing about the NBA. Only a couple of franchises have never made the NBA Finals.

Yet we try to talk about how one sport has so much parity and the other one doesn't :mjlol:
I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Patriots=Spurs

Steelers=Lakers

Colts/Broncos=Heat/Cavs(Manning=Bron)

Maybe has to do with the fact that lakers and Celtics have over a 3rd of the fukking titles

Bulls won 6 in a decade

Then lakers won 5 the next

Pretty easy to see why they say parity happens a lot more in football
But if you break it down by conference, you'll see the lack of parity in the NFL.

And if you break it down by division, it gets a little dicier. I don't think any NBA team has gone on the division winning streak that the Pats have been on for the past decade. They have 14 division titles in the last 15yrs I believe. And 6 AFC Conference titles. That's no different than the Spurs, or Lakers dominance. At least Golden State hadn't made it to the Finals in 40yrs prior to last years title. The NFL has more parity mainly because the NFC is always a free-for-all every year. You really can't guess who'll win it. But year in and year out, you can easily narrow down the AFC to a few select teams. The Pats damn near made it back 2yrs in a row, but lost to a team that won the AFC the year before last year.

If you're not aware, that's AFC representation in the Superbowl since 2003.
I've been making this argument for the past 3yrs. And it wouldn't surprise me if The Pats won the AFC again next year, given how weak the AFC East is. The Pats are always in the right vantage point come playoff time, just by playing in the AFC East.

I could also see the Steelers winning the AFC. Hell, I could see this Broncos D leading Brock Osweiler to his 1st SB as a starter. Honestly, I have no reason to believe another AFC will usurp those 3. At least not next year....:mjcry:
