Hip Hop has it's roots in Jamaica and Barbados. Krs One's album "Krs One" with Health, wealth and "knowledge of self" saved my fukking life. That record saved my life. Krs One's lyrics opened up my mind and empowered me. I acknowledge that and take it very seriously. I grew up on all black rappers up until 1996. I never checked for Vanilla Ice - even though later he was respected after he got dissed. He earned his respect. But Krs literally saved and changed my life. I read books more because he made seeking knowledge cool. I always loved writing and reading but hearing Krs - and his stores on how he hit up libraries when he had nothing inspired me to my core.
I'm going to leave it at that.

Krs was never for the crime you speak of. He was supporting his friend.
Now yes of course it would have been great if Krs was more clear and stated how horrendous that crime is.
However I am not for people bashing Krs One.
I am against those crimes as well for certain.
Krs is like 3 people removed from that situation.

I read what you said. I never did harsh drugs. Don't say what I did or didn't do. Once here I said I could have been strung out on heroin was because of the direction I was heading into and my addictive/obsessive personality.
I give back to my community as well. Every year since 2007 through Catacares the foundation I set up 14 years ago at this point.
