The thunder didn't win it all, and subsequently began shipping out all of there stars. And mind you they rolled up on a once in a lifetime player in durant, this is not in the upcoming drafts . Then those guys are coming everyone knows.

But the point is, even when you get this franchise player, you will have to build properly around them via free agency or trades. Otherwise as durant did, as lebron did, they bounce on you. So my argument is not even rebuild or not to rebuild, it's attacking this silly notion that fans are crazy to want to build around jimmy ( the franchise player) throwing the towel and getting to a cross road with this franchise and forever running back to the draft every time it's time to truly build the contender. They get rose and failed to build around him, they get jimmy and failed, but you all want to sell getting yet another franchise player and don't think you will be met with that same dilemma

We we supposed to get the damn kings ransom, not prospects with question marks all over them. When it got down to just moving jimmy then I think it was better potential youngsters out there who were not coming off a acl, and not looking like a complete bust there rookie season to trade jimmy for.

Then we gave up our 16th?!? Man I'm going to bed smh

The Thunder made the Finals. It worked. They also sat around with KD assuming everything was fine, until he hit FA and bounced. Like I said the options of having Jimmy bounce on us, or having to pay him a supermax at 29 are both not attractive to me

Youd really be happier signing some role players to run with Jimmy next summer? I just dont get how that seems like the right move

We're going to be so much better off a year from today, its crazy

:rudy:Lucky, once in a lifetime type talent. Had his knees not turned 40 when he turned 21, he would be in rarified air.

You can't count on that all the time. Word to Kwame Brown/Anthony Bennett.

Fam cmon. :mjlol: I love Rose just as much as the next guy, but he's not a once in a lifetime talent. There were a couple of guys in this draft that played like him. The Bulls just wasn't able to em. When is the last time the Bulls got a top 5 pick?

Lavine is an athlete I guess.
I'm talking about the guys they drafted... I was kind of excited about the guy they got in the 2nd Round, but before I could even take it in they said they gave him away.

I'll start by saying you guys are getting two really good people. Dunn and LaVine had two of the biggest hearts on the team. They played hurt. They never had any locker room issues. Most of all, their former teammates don't view this trade like a grand slam because top to bottom they're all gonna miss them two. You guys will grow to like them at least as people. I'll be rooting for them to succeed in Chicago because they're gonna wanna show out. Wade can serve as a good mentor to both of them.

Dunn is an NBA level defender now. Probably the third best one on the team. He's very advanced in that department. However, and this will hurt, I don't think he's cut out to play PG. He was so clueless and tentative on that end that it's as if he never played it before. He might wind up being a Marcus Smart or even a Tony Allen as a top notch defensive specialist. That's his value. Sadly he might be better off the ball because most nights he was outplayed by Tyus Jones. I wish him well though and I know he wanted to make it worse. This trade hurts Thibs because he was invested in Dunn and had he shown more with the opportunities he had, perhaps he stays, but Thibs couldn't defend the season Dunn had. He'll improve, but he'd need to win MIP just to get back to the level he was at a year ago.

As for Zach, I wish some players had the attitude he has. He wants greatness. He's an alpha personality. Maybe at most he misses two weeks of the regular season coming off the ACL. That's how determined he is. You guys will max him out and he'll run with it. He won't cheat you on the effort he brings. It's the talent part that's the issue. 3 years in, and the numbers showed the team was significantly better without him, and for the $$$ he wanted to command, it's tough to justify it (long story short, he'll get paid what Jimmy gets now). I don't know how the backcourt will look with Wade, but DO NOT use LaVine at PG. It's not fun, but every coach he has had keeps trying it. Hopefully Hoiberg realizes that it's not meant to be.

In a perfect world the team grows with all the youngins involved and intact, but when Jimmy Butler is out there, don't sleep. They slept once. Can't do it twice. It's like when a old lady offers you something. At some point you'd be rude NOT to accept.

I just listened to Paxson confirm the tank in the press conference. This team is gonna be bottom 5

We easily fall behind the Knicks, Hornets, Pistons, Magic, 76ers in the East. That only leaves Brooklyn

Suns, Lakers, Twolves were bottom of the west. They are all better than us

We have a legit shyt at the #1 or #2 pick, certainly top 3. That could be an absolute game changer of a pick
Michael Porter Jr. :blessed:
