Aaron Affalo trajectory down has been worse than Dengs - that trade in retrospect would have been a 1 or 2 year move and we would be in the same situation dealing with an aging player with a salary we would be looking to get off the books.

I'm sure Rudy Gay (30) will opt out. Millsap (32) is opting out

Serge Ibaka (27) is an UFA. Could be a good running mate for Butler. Not sure how he'd feel about playing with Lopez (29)

I'm not sure about our financials yet, I'm just looking at potentially available players and these are the only ones I'd be interested in.

We're stuck in 8th to 4th seed hell.

at some point our young guys have to make a leap , no different than blowing it up, there's no Lebron coming to save us. So no matter if we blow it up or stay pat, the young guys have to make a leap. Cuz no top UFA is coming to the Bulls - i'm convinced players hate us (our GMs)

It's .008% or ~1/12,483, yeah it's possible but we might as well not even consider it. It's not happening

Honestly I think we should leave all these names alone and just draft and live with the consequences next year. I don't know if the draft next year is any good but any of them dudes you listed aren't really helping us win big IMO. I don't want to be stuck in 1st rd loserdom lol. Stink or whatever next year and work from there.

Jimmy is a #1. But it's levels to being that. He not a lebron type who can carry bums to the finals. He more in the harden, Paul george, Damion liliard level, which means you have to surround him with a adequate level of talent so he can be successful. You might even have to add another number 1 so jimmy can fall back and focus more on defense, steals, etc so he can be at his very best.

Jimmy inability to fully maximize his potential is on the front office inability to fully pick a lane and go all in on it. Either your going to fill the team with nothing but youngsters, or you fill it with nothing but vets. Can't have a vet starting 5, but young ass bench and vice versa. Hopefully with this new commitment to build with jimmy they stop straddling and just get some quality role players and hopefully another all star caliber player who can score.

If you are of the belief that harden is every bit the player lebron or durant is, by all means run with it. I don't personally give a damn.

So take harden out, and replace him with whoever else is a 1st option but a step down from the elite players in the league. I'm not here to argue over some damn harden

Again, I'm not getting into a harden vs jimmy debate, wasn't the point of my post. There are 1st options who can go to any roster and have them in the conference finals, and some who need more help to succeed. If some believe harden is not that, cool, I dont believe he is. I don't give a damn either way, wasn't my point.
