Id rather tank and build through the draft then think Jimmy would recruit enough talent here to compete for a title during the Warriors reign

It makes no sense to try and compete right now. We actually are lightyears behind the Warriors right now

Listening to the press conference its good to hear they are embracing the tank. If we get a top 2 pick next season there is absolutely no way you can say this wasnt the right move

If Michael Porter/Doncic are legit and we were to get one of them we suddenly have a core of

Dunn
Lavine
Porter JR/Doncic
Bobby
Markkanen

what if that big Bamba is legit too?

rebuilding/tanking/Draft >>> pipe dream FA dreams

Bulls about to tank:gucci:they're too retarded to tank

They make a run for playoffs & get another 8-16 pick:pachaha:

You have a huge chance of lebron taking off west next off season, and you had a top 3 player in the conference on your squad. Yes your supposed to care about winning. So you surround him with talent, land his running mate etc. East is about to be wide open. All of these things have to factor into the direction your going. True no guarantees in either way your going, but you have to admit that if your rebuilding you better have great assets and ability to properly build a team with good coaching to come out of that inevitable dark age. It's very easy to be very bad for very long in this league. Right now I'm supposed to be happy we got a great deal, not hoping dunn is not a bust, hoping lavine can recover from a acl and hoping lauri is not a repeat of mcdermott and niko. If the objective slumped all the way down to just "move jimmy to become terrible" I can think of about 15 other young prospects we could have used jimmy to trade for who were NOT coming off a acl.

I'm not understanding this Lebron to West thing. It makes zero sense at this point in his career. Bulls made the right move in trading Jimmy because if they let him play out his contract, he was gonna want the super max and that's just too much money to pay for a 30 year old. We wanted the Bulls to pick a direction and they did. We don't know how good these guys are gonna be considering the Bulls have actually drafted decently over the years. I didn't like what they did with the picks in this draft, but I'm not gonna start freaking out about the future until I see what kinda moves they make in FA.

Once you land that "legit star" you will have to build with them via free agency via trades. It's no such thing as building a contender strictly through the draft.

Now if you want to argue we need a new core, or jimmy wasn't good enough to lead a title team cool, but this idea that you can just stink for 5 years and come out of that with a title contending team is just wrong and you don't have 1 situation to use as an example to prove it. All title contending teams had to hit free agency and make smart trades. Right now you all seem to just like the taste of hope. Right now, even if we land a franchise guy we will still have a front office that fail to build around them, just like they failed to build around rose, just like they failed to build around jimmy. Then I guess we can blow it up again at that time too smh

the Thunder made the Finals by drafting KD, Russ, Harden

the Twolves put themselves in a position to trade for a top 15 player tonight by drafting high and having assets

the Bulls had one asset as of this morning, Jimmy. maybe a case can be made for Bobby still, but essentially just Jimmy

we now have 4 valuable assets (Dunn, Lavine, Markkanen & next years draft pick which will be top 5)

we ran out of time to build around Jimmy. if we waited one more season we find ourselves in a PG13/Pacers situation if we dont strike gold in FA, or the alternative is paying a 29 year old Jimmy 200M for 5 years

I just dont see how rebuilding wasnt the right move here, ESPECIALLY considering this league is legit on lock for foreseeable future with the gawdly Warriors

At least with jimmy here, you had a guy who openly recruits and could get players here. Our rep is mud right now, and it's all on garpax right now. It was the only shot we had.

What we sound like now, is exactly how all fan bases sound when they trade they franchise player. But there is a reason, in the handful of times a team parted with they franchise player , it nearly never works. We were supposed to hit the home run on a jimmy deal. Now it done got bumped down to just accept the best deal smh.

I been saying that if jimmy goes it would be in a mediocre package. Well we got the mediocre package smh

Finally, there's nobody left to blame anymore except the people who deserves it

Thibs was the fall guy, Then rose, Now Jimmy but nobody is left

The smokescreens, lies, we like our core because we made the playoffs 6 times shyt is gone

Hoiberg or gar is next to get it:russ:

I just listened to Paxson confirm the tank in the press conference. This team is gonna be bottom 5

We easily fall behind the Knicks, Hornets, Pistons, Magic, 76ers in the East. That only leaves Brooklyn

Suns, Lakers, Twolves were bottom of the west. They are all better than us

We have a legit shyt at the #1 or #2 pick, certainly top 3. That could be an absolute game changer of a pick

The thunder didn't win it all, and subsequently began shipping out all of there stars. And mind you they rolled up on a once in a lifetime player in durant, this is not in the upcoming drafts . Then those guys are coming everyone knows.

But the point is, even when you get this franchise player, you will have to build properly around them via free agency or trades. Otherwise as durant did, as lebron did, they bounce on you. So my argument is not even rebuild or not to rebuild, it's attacking this silly notion that fans are crazy to want to build around jimmy ( the franchise player) throwing the towel and getting to a cross road with this franchise and forever running back to the draft every time it's time to truly build the contender. They get rose and failed to build around him, they get jimmy and failed, but you all want to sell getting yet another franchise player and don't think you will be met with that same dilemma

We we supposed to get the damn kings ransom, not prospects with question marks all over them. When it got down to just moving jimmy then I think it was better potential youngsters out there who were not coming off a acl, and not looking like a complete bust there rookie season to trade jimmy for.

Then we gave up our 16th?!? Man I'm going to bed smh

Last time we got a #1 pick it turned into Derrick Rose. :yeshrug:
:rudy:Lucky, once in a lifetime type talent. Had his knees not turned 40 when he turned 21, he would be in rarified air.

You can't count on that all the time. Word to Kwame Brown/Anthony Bennett.
