I'm in the same boat as you, OP, in regards to needing a new automobile. The reason I don't have one yet is because I want a truck this time around instead of a car, but good trucks aren't cheap, I don't have the money to buy outright and my credit is a little jacked up at the moment, so I can't get any financing.

I have a shyt paying job, so I'd have to save for most of the year to buy outright.... I'm just going to fix my credit, so I can get financed for a nice low - mileage truck and eat the payments. I have a pretty good amount in my savings account, so I will just be stuck until I pay it off(or I get a better paying job which is the plan).

Leasing can be useful, but in general, it's not financially sound to lease, especially if you live in a large city and travel a lot. Get what you truly want and buy(whether outright or payments). Keep that whip for as long as it will run.

KNow your credit score.

dont be afraid to walk away from a pressured deal, dont buy non of that tire insurance shyt dont buy anything extra they try to sell you when they walk you into the finance office thats all bullshyt the mgmt splits up amongst themselves. make sure you get your free floor mats and a full tank of gas b4 leaving.

Dont buy anything new unless you are leasing. Buy pre owned.
